Almost 3 weeks ago, my husband got the passport request with 2 pics
2 weeks ago, background check is IN PROGRESS
A few days ago on ECAS - Decision Made for PA
and today on MyCIC - Passed, Passed & Approved *woot woot*
Today another email from embassy that the Passport will be ready in 5 days......5 days???
what a long process just to get that damn piece of paper

Hi gyz,

I just got an e-mail from Singapore asked me to send Police clearance Certificate of UK and India as i was in London and India for about 4 yrs in each Country.I have submitted BD PCC with the application.
However, I already have the other two PCC from each country with me.

So my question here:

> Postal address of Singapore to send my PCC ?
> Should i include any additional paper to write my CASE Details (Sponsor & Sponsored person name, Case number, UCI etc.) or Can i just mention it on the envelop of my parcel ?
> How soon do they start processing after getting the required DOC they are asking for ?

Thanks in advance and i really apprecialte if u gyz cud help me with the above questions in details.

Thank you, but we aren't planning to move until probably April or May since I just arrived in Canada (2 weeks ago) and I will be going back at the end of January
It all depends when he has to land by (which should be the beginning of May, if we go by the medicals expiration date)

My wife from Taiwan got a decision made on her CIC account. It says "Final decision This application has been approved". What is the next step in the process? Does she have to mail her passport to the hong kong visa office? Will she receive a letter with instructions? She has a trip planned for end of November to come to Canada so i am wondering if she will get the PR by then?

Question for those who've gotten their PPR: is there a due date by when you should submit your passport by, and how much time do they give you? I'm just worried because the PPR request might coincide with a trip with my family abroad.

Yes, this is what CIC's PPR communication says,
"These documents/ information must be submitted within thirty (30) days from the date of this e-mail"

just another question, i checked and ECAS mailing address is missing the apartment number but it was included in the application. Should i worry that the CoPR letter will be sent to the address specified on ECAS without the apartment number, or will they double check the correct mailing address as specified on the form submitted part of the application process?

Can i ask the CBSA officer to print my CoPR when i land if i don't have it by the time i go to Canada? Will that be an issue? I am from a visa-exempt country.

Yes, this is what CIC's PPR communication says,

30 days is a reasonable amount of time. And here I was worried that they'd allot just 2 weeks. Thank you!! I can rest easy now.

I had my interview which was positive now my backgroung went to in process from not started.
1-are they checking police certificate for turkey as well as canada ? ( I reside in Canada for 6 years but I sent police certificate only from Turkey.. I am in Turkey now, came for interview)
2-when is the passport request?
3-how can I send the passport? In person ? Do I need to send the passport? I have my work permit and visa already -

1. They might be checking both. They will inform you to provide a PCC from Canada, if that's necessary.
2. It can range from a week to a few months.
3. The information about all this will be provided in PPR email.

Your application is not yet finalized. For a Greek citizen we require only a photocopy of the passport – not the original. We will also require photos which are compliant to new specifications – as per attachment. If you did not provide these up front you should submit them now.

Is that a sight of progress? Does that unofficial mean that my application is close to be finalised? What do you think about?

That means decision is yet to be made. Send them photos to have the PPR sooner when you get approved. Good that Rome responded. What is the email address you used?
