That is because it will be available July 23.

If you have UCI or Application Number forget about ECAS and link your application to MyCIC tomorrow.

Yes, I can't wait to try it either. Will they eliminate ECAS entirely in favor of using a MyCIC account to link it?

I am not sure, but my guess is it will be slowly phased out.

Linked our application on MyCIC. Works flawlessly, compared to forever-loading ECAS. Too bad there's nothing interesting on PA side and my husband is in the hospital so it'll take a few days to set up and link his account to see what's the progress on SA.

MyCIC is for family class applications (except applications to become a sponsor)

Sorry, but you can't link SA to MyCIC unfortunately.

Hi All,

I can check my wife's PR application status via CIC ecas . It says in process.

My wife is studying in USA. Her summer vacation is ongoing and we want to apply for a TRV for her so that she could come to Canada to visit me for 2 weeks before the class starts. However we have some confusions-

a). My wife was rejected 3 student visas before. Two of them were Canadian student Visas. If we apply for a TRV and if it gets rejected, will it have any impact on her PR application ??

b). As for her PR application, the SA process is going on. So she still doesn't have a UCI number assigned to her. Will it become a problem if we apply a TRV ( we will mention that a PR application is in process) ?? Or should we wait for her UCI number ( that is to wait for her PR application to be forwared to a VO)?

c). Do we have to let CIC know about the TRV visa outcome (after the TRV is processed) as well through a case specific inquiry? Also If I visit her ( I have a US visa), do I have let CIC know about my future visits as well?

I would appreciate any insight regarding these questions. We are all but ready to apply for the TRV but because of these confusions we put it on hold. We would be really glad we could find some answers. Thanks
