What documents do we have to show to get SA easily?

This has been happening lately. Fill out a Use of Representative form for each other. If you have your address listed in the UK and the mailing address as his address in Canada, they need to be able to share information with the spouse. A technicality/legality issue.

If the sponsor is acting as the representative, should they sign in both sections B and D or just sign section B?

we had passed our application last June 5.
they asked a missing document from us and passed last June 28.
it's been a month that we haven't receive any email after complying the required document.

What will be the next process if ever they send us an email?
do we need to call them for updates?
kindly share with us your experience so that we have an idea.

Our application was received via DHL on June 6. No AOR1 or SA. I emailed them last week and they reply that my application is in process. I also called CIC and they told me call back August 2. Contact Number 16139444000 if you live outside Canada.

i have applied on june 1st and i got an email on July 28th saying that i missed to send my candian p.p copy.. I mailed it right away. I checked online status... it says sponsorship application in process and permanent resident for my spouse: "we have received application on june 2nd 2016 and medical received.. I don't know if its sponsorship approval.. any idea??

I have called CIC on Friday and they told me its 56 days to get SA now and asked to call after that if I don't get SA confirmation.
According to that I still have sometime to call back.
AOR received on June 25th.

Woke up this morning to our SA in my wife's email! Woo hoo! What a happy Tuesday! ;D This is our timeline so far:

Application sent June 1, 2016
App received (per FedEx) June 2
AOR received June 22
SA received August 2

So that's 61 days for us to get SA, a little over the average of 56 days. I'm a US citizen and my wife is Canadian.

Does anyone know what the average time has been lately between SA and getting the visa approval?

Congrats to all the folks who have received SA so far! One more hurdle down!

i'd recommend checking out the ottawa thread. this is where us applications are processed. the current trend seems to be approval anywhere from 1-3 months after SA.

Can anyone confirm when they say its 56 days to receive SA, Its 56 "business days"??, or 56 days including holiday and weekends???
