Yes, and it states they will also mail a letter.

if you received an email, more than likely you will not also receive a mailed letter. are you referring to language written on ECAS regarding "a letter was sent..."? if so, they are referring to the email you received.

Meanwhile my wife is trying to apply a TRV online. The online visitor visa application requires a digital photo. She has the actual 35 mm x 45 mm photo taken 2 months ago by a professional photo lab. Can she use the scan copy of this actual photo in her TRV application? I couldn't find any digital photo specification anywhere. If anyone who has applied an online TRV application please help! Thanks.
