I have been on vacation in Canada with my wife for the last two weeks , so I have been out of the loop. We checked CIC the other day and they are saying that they have been working on my, the sponsored application ,since August 18, that is good news. It was great to be together even for just a few weeks. We are in the last lap of this marathon. Praise God.

I finally got my SA by email last thursday!!! and my PR application is in Process since Sep. 2!!! :)

Does any of you apply after this to the visitor visa? my husband and i are separate more than 5 months and we are looking forward to apply for a visitor visa for me, some people says it is really hard to get it, any of you have a good experience with this?

Oh happy for you both!!! best wishes from here, I really hope you two guys can be together soon!!! Be separate it is really hard, we are applying soon too... ;)

I e-mailed Vienna to ask whether they had received my medicals, since ECAS doesn't make any mention of it. Within two days they replied! That's pretty quick, and nice of them.

They confirmed that they indeed have received my medicals. Woo! So that means they have everything they need, and we should only have to wait until they finalize my application.

Iabanet13, I'm thinking of you and hoping that your man gets to be with your for the birth of your guys' baby!!

June'ers, we are getting close to the holidays. I'm wishing with all my mite that they don't take the whole month of December off!!

Does anyone know… What is Stage 2 AOR? Let me know what I should be looking out for!

Stage 2 AOR can be an automated e-mail, an update in ECAS that says something like "We started processing <<Applicants Name>>'s application on <<Date>>" or a confirmation when contacting the CIC/Visa office.

Hey Maartenvg! We're in the same boat as you...my husband's visa office will be Vienna, and we're June 4 applicants. Let's hope all goes fast for all of us! Best o luck :)

You're a few days ahead of me, so that might be a nice warning system for my case ;)

On what date did they start processing it in Vienna for you? Mine says August 13th in ECAS.

just an update: so we never got the official mail from CIC about SA (despite them saying "it was on the way" the week before when we first called :() so we called again last September 8, 2015 and they said they never sent the mail but they will send an email instead. We got the email 2 days after and it said on there that our file was transferred to Manila. The email (it was a pdf/letter) was dated September 10, 2015. I thought it would say on there when we officially got our SA, but I guess the date is for when they actually sent the email. Our ECAS still says "In process" on both Sponsor & PR columns. I wonder if it's too early to request GCMS notes? I'm just wondering if the "We started processing your application on September 2, 2015" line on my ECAS is actually the Stage 2 AOR like what people here are saying or they just felt like adding that line for fun lol.

Has anyone been surprised as to where CIC sent their PR documents to be processed? I called and asked why Ottawa instead of Manila but they had no answered, they just said it was normal.

According to my wife, there were a portion of Japanese applications that went to Ottawa instead of Manila, as well. The reason is unknown, but I suppose it may have to do with volume.

I would wait a little before ordering notes. the only thing you will see in your notes is the work they did for your SA.

you probably wanna wait until it is at the VO for a least a couple of months.
just my opinion because it will be a waste of your money to see the file was transferred.
