Both should be fine, although desktop is probably going to be the easiest. Just try :)

There is no edit option, just go to your row and click the field/cell you want to change. The cells in certain columns are calculated automatically and you can't edit them, but it will tell you if you try.

In general, all date fields, visa office names and your nickname are editable.

With God all things are possible, just stay in Faith and let God do His part, the greatest thing, everyone here should understand, God help those who help themselves and am sure you all been helping yourselves to this stage, after submission, its time to just relax and God will continue to do his part in the best favor, just remember people, Love Conquer All, putting the papers together wasn't easy for many, the love and dedication all have for their partner i know looking back u all smile and happy you over with that stage, so now is another part of the journey, keep positive, because this too shall pass...God is at work...One Love
This is the second time I have dealt with Immigration, I sponsored my wife to come to US back in 2009, took 8.5 months, and we were apart that whole time. My Faith steered me through the potholes of dispair, and now My wife is sponsoring me to immigrate to
Canada, she has been in Canada since August of last year, saw her in Feb, and will see her next month, I will retire in 2016, when I have my Visa in my hot little hand. Until then, I pray.

Hello. Can someone clarify this for me please?

While going through the application process, I read somewhere on the cic site that you can live in Canada while your application is being processed. How accurate is this?

My husband and daughter are Canadian, and we'd like to move there next month so she can start school. It's just that I won't have any status there? Do you think if I go through immigration my passport will cause a red flag or anything? We want to be there but I just won't be able to work until I have my permanent residency.

Thanks for your input.

What country are you from? Regardless of your home country, you will not be able to work unless you can get a work permit through another program. If you don't need to work, visitor status is the way to go, it's just a little different for some countries.

Oh, Bahamas is easy. To visit Canada, you don't need a visitor visa or anything. When you enter Canada, you automatically get 6 months of visitor status. If you need more time, you can exit and re-enter and your visitor status will reset, or you can apply online to extend your visitor status before it expires.

Wow! Thank you!! I'll let my husband know so we can decide today what to do. Really want to get my daughter started in school. Will we need to advise them that they're moving now? Actually it'll be me and daughter initially, then he'll come in a few months (by year end) but will come up every few weeks as he has to hand over a lot of things at his company, as well as deal with the sale of our house.

The only thing that might be tricky is you need to convince the border agent that you are only visiting. Since you're technically a visitor, you can't make it seem like you are going to move there permanently, or they have the right to not let you into the country. My partner is American and has come to Canada several times on a one way flight and she just says she's visiting friends/family and has never had a problem, but it never hurts to be cautious.

Trying to cross the border with everything you own may be a red flag to them, so you'll need to be careful. Sometimes they let you in without asking questions, but it's possible that they would like to see proof of return, like a return ticket or proof that you still have a house to go back to. I know many people who travel by air will buy a return ticket and refund it once they are in Canada. It's tough because how suspicious they are really depends on the border agent you get.

Got it! Well we'll most definitely get return tickets, and it'll be 3 of us traveling together. We actually would be going back to the Bahamas in December so it would be less that the 6 months visitor status. We won't take a lot of things with us. Just a few pieces of clothing as the temperature will be changing. We'll leave the more permanent items for being shipped over at a later date.

I'm glad I asked.
