Can some one please explain the entire "Waiting" process of spousal sponsorship specially the following acronyms:
Rec'd to AOR
AOR to SA
SA to AOR2
AOR2 to DM
DM to PPR
PPR to Visa
Rec'd (application received by Mississauga according to your third party courier or mail service) to Acknowledgement of Receipt by the actual office (AOR)
AOR to Sponsorship Approval, your sponsor has been approved, now the application will be sent to another Visa Office (VO) to process the rest of it, usually the VO in the person to be sponsored's own country.
SA to Second Acknowledgement of Receipt (AOR2), the other Visa Office in the country of the person to be sponsored has received the application from the Mississauga office.
AOR2 to Decision Made (DM), the Visa Office has processed your application and made a decision of whether to accept or reject it. Usually before DM, the status changes to IP (In Progress) while they are actually looking at the application.
DM to Passport Requested (PPR): the Visa Office has requested the passport of the person to be sponsored to stamp it, which says they are a permanent resident.
PPR to Visa, you have received your Visa aka CoPR (Confirmation of Permanent Residence) which you use to land and prove you are a Permanent Resident until you get your actual Permanent Resident Card
Hope that helps!
