We received an e-mail from the Visa office today requesting that my husband bring his passport!!!!! PPR BABY!!

Hopefully he will have his passport back next day as we are planning to fly him here on Christmas day.

Thanks for everyone's support...hopefully some other people get a nice Christmas present!!!!

Yay.landed a week ago and became a permanent resident of canada. At the immigration office we had to wait an hour to have 5 minutes of interview with the officer. Boy it was hard. They are generally real tough people and i recommend do not joke with them, because they have no sense of humor. Thats just my experience.thankfully its over now. Now getting to the process of obtaing SIN and PR card and Job :)
And thanks and goodbye to the forum as i wont be here until i become citizen. Good luck to yall

Thanks Dee!!!! We are pretty excited. He dropped his passport at the embassy on Wednesday so we are just waiting (patiently) for them to e-mail us on when he can go back and pick it up! Have you heard anything at all from Havana yet? If not, at least you are going there in less than one week!

Hey MissE.

No news yet! I imagine that with the holidays fast arriving the holiday office hours have commenced. I am sad to say that I am still waiting but- hey! whats anyother month of this agonizing wait? (sarcasm is my forte). we will wait it out, only thing that is keeping me happy is knowing that this time next week i will have already been with him a few days... soon sooon sooon... :)

Just wondering when you did your first medical. My husbands expires at the end of the month and we haven't heard anything about a request to do another medical

Our COPR finally arrived by post on Saturday (yeah!). For those who are counting the days, it looks like it took a week from DM for the COPR document to be posted, and another week for it to arrive in Minnesota from Ottawa. We are planning to drive to our new home in BC in mid-January and I will be landing at a yet to be chosen border crossing along the way. Much remains to be done, but it is good to have that plain brown envelope in one's hands.

Hello everyone, my wife received her visa and COPR today! Really surprised the whole process went as fast as it did considering we had to go through Singapore VO which has one the of worst wait times.

Good luck to the rest of June applicants that are still waiting.

Hey! I just logged in to check to see if our application had changed into IN Process like I do everyday. And low and behold it had changed to Decision Made! What a wonderful start to 2015!

COPR was received in late December, my partner and I are crazy excited for 2015. Happy new year everyone and much success!!

Congrats to all who are getting their COPR! I on the other hand continue to get the run around and have been asked a 3rd time to send documents. I have been told I sent my marriage license instead of my marriage certificate. When I went online and paid the money to obtain my certified marriage certificate, I received a long copy and this is what I sent in to Ottawa. I'm so confused. As well as they want a copy of my husband's Canadian Revenue Agency Notice of tax Assessment. I'm just getting nervous because my husband does owe back taxes but he's been paying them off! I just wish this was a little easier and less stressful. Anyone have any idea of exactly what my marriage certificate is suppose to look like, because I'm not an idiot but can't seem to get this right.
