Right, in our case the medical and FBI record check is now more than a year old. I want to make sure that they aren't waiting on something we didn't know we had to send.

My husbands expired in Dec ... I'm giving it to July then I'm getting my house ready to sell and I'm going to live with my husband in the U.K.

We got our notes today.

They had requested a medical renewal in March and we've done it already.

We have ***Officer Review*** file pending meds only, but we assume the notes are from before the receipt of Meds by CIC, so we are not too concerned.

It said in mid-March that Security was not started due to Meds Pending. Not sure how long that takes. All criminal clearances have been received by CIC, so this is the internal check I imagine is run by RCMP/CSIS.

We hope it all comes together for an update tomorrow.

We now know that for all intents and purposes everything on our application is ok. Relationship ok, criminality ok, money ok, medical ok, so we're just waiting for that DM/COPR. Luckily we are living together abroad and had planned all along to move to Canada in August. I am really empathetic towards those separated or worried about visas, etc. Good luck to everyone.

If you haven't contacted your MP, do it. We received information from our MP office in a few days that lifted some, but not all, of the ambiguity.

sorry taffy, July seems right around the corner! Will you move back, if he gets approval after July? I haven't heard anything. CIC responded to my email just with that my file is being processed according to the standards and nothing else is required for my file as of right now. ECAS still says my application is received. My medicals expired in November, but haven't heard a word about it. Money is getting tight & I'm stir crazy, and I just wish we'd hear something! The sooner I get PR the sooner I can work up here and make life way easier! I'm headed back to Jersey tomorrow for a couple weeks to work and see my family & friends and hopefully they will let me back into Canada since my visitor visa doesn't expire until December 2015!!

No once i sell the house and give up my job, i'm not coming back. Only to visit my two adult children .I have a job waiting for me in the U.K for when i go back and my husband has a job waiting for him here. I am just so fed up of being apart . If they were able to confirm he could come i wouldn't be so bad but with the not knowing is a killer. We have been long distance for 3 years . Trying to stay positive today , then my husband was having a rant lol . I know every one else is in the same boat. Lets hope you hear something while you are in Jersey and you can come back and land. Fingers and toes crossed.

Relationship considered genuine, and PA (principal applicant) recommended pass!!!!
Just waiting on security and criminality check.
I'm rather confused about this though, because we did the FBI and background checks and sent them in, what are they waiting on? I mean the letters FBI sent us says that it was clean and that is what got sent with our application. So what exactly are they doing? Medials are passed and everything else looks great. They approved our medical and it says it now expires on May 15th (the extended it from april) So I'm wondering if we will hear before then? I am beyond excited about this!! Recommended approval are the prettiest words I have ever read!!!

I think the security and criminal check is separate from the regular police clearance certificates. Nice of them that they extended your medical. I would think you should be hearing from them soon. I agree those words "Recommended Pass" "Recommended Approval" on the GCMS notes help with all the contact from CIC while processing.

I'm in the same boat. If I haven't received word of my COPR by mid May, then I'm going to book a flight back to Canada and wait it out there. Me and my wife are sick of being apart from each other!

CIC does the Canadian Security check

So I'm guessing my file is waiting on CIC to do the Canadian checks as my flies says the same thing. Recommend pass criminal and security not started.

I sympathise with everyone that is still waiting. My husband gave up a great job and living near his family to come and live with me in Canada. We never thought it would take this long. Our savings are running out since he hasn't been working and we have talked about moving to the States if we haven't heard back before May.

What information can MP give us of our file? My processing time has past the processing time so I was thinking of contacting MP will help us or not!

MisbahNabeel .. sometime the MP can find out where the file is for e.g. is it in line to be review or is there information missing etc. Every MP does things a little different some will go above and beyond some won't do anything until after the processing time.

I am jus wondering that my processing time has been completed and no update on my case from Paris visa office I don't know what's wrong or could be coz Paris is one of fastest office then why they are so lazy for me

Some of the offices have just slowed down. London has ,maybe Paris has too. If it is pass your processing time, then send them a case inquiry to see where you file is at. When i say processing time i mean the one on the CIC website not on the forum spreadsheet.
