I had the same answer from a lady agent who was very rude and was ready to hang up and was nearly shouting at me, she said they on start mailing letters to applicants upto June 5 and she said they are receiving too much applications and to get to mid to end if June, it will be another month

CIC agent shouldn't have this kind of attitude as they are representing the government of Canada. But not everybody is rude. When I called the call center, a male agent was very polite and supportive. When he couldn't answer my question, he told me to wait and don't hang up first as he went to ask for it, and came back with the answer. Btw, he sounded like immigrant, not native.

i dont think taking vacation will delay the processing much cuz they wont let their employees go all at once.
i expect it will take no more than 2 weeks for them to finish mid june applications

My citizenship app received by cic on June 16th 2014, no update in ecas yet. Hope we all see it this weekend since they keep saying june5th currently being processed.

I agree this seems overly optimistic, especially for an office such as Edmonton (quite possibly the slowest in the entire country). I've already mentally prepared myself for 1+ years of silence, immediately following AOR, but perhaps C-24 will speed things up considerably!
