Thanks hssam. It was a very touch decision to make. Personally I don't see myself having a great future in Canada. PR is a status but can't generate good jobs, houses, money, etc. Looks like declining job quality, soaring prices, housing bubble, currency depreciation and CIC are all Canada has to offer ??? And they attribute most of those to oil prices. ;D
Unfortunately, you are right! Last 2 years were very soar with dollar rates, and the job market!!

I get how with the dollar rates and other issues, the odds are shifting...
but for people like me in the arts field, Canada is better by a big margin in every aspect than in India, whether be salary *atleast 6 times more than what i get at same level. working hours and quality and learning opportunities, or be the incentives, so I really have to depend on PR for my career to go ahead... its a shame how a Visa is controlling that for me.. I thought the hard work was done after working day and night after school to get to the point to be eligible..

you are absolutely right. every individual has their own priorities which drive their decision. I want to settle here due to comfort lifestyle and hassle free living. i get enough time here to spend with my family specially my son.

Got PPR finally, but it's pretty much useless to me now as I decided to ditch this failed state. Take care and good luck everyone.
congratulations..!

Hi bbsos,

Congratulations. I looked up your old posts.
Did you really reply, '* you very much' to the fake RPRF email from CIC?
That cracked me up for a while...lol just hoping they know their work has been a disaster (for some ppl).
Anyway, at the end you made it :D

Yes I really did. :D
They can't reject my application based on that and even if they did, I will simply have my RPRF refunded.

finally received ppr a couple hours ago, just sent an email requesting change of visa office for stamping, now let the wait begin, again. fingers crossed.

How many people left from June have immigration lawyers representing them?

me. Ive got an immigration lawyer in Vancouver representing me
it kind of sucks as the mail goes to him first and I am in here in india on a completely different timezone. for a year now..

That sucks! I was just curious if having one makes things easier or makes it go faster but I guess not.

Anyone who received COPR while their status in ECAS still shows "in process"?

I used a representative (lawyer) ... Doesn't make anything go faster unfortunately.
At least mine is prompt - every contact she has had from CIC, med request, RFPR etc. was passed to me within 30 minutes of her receiving the communication.

not sure why there is a call center setup from CIC when they cannot access our file, can't escalate any thing, provide same standard template based answer the application is under process etc etc...
This whole process sucks .....
