I have no doubt I will get PR. Eventually. My application is rock-solid.

It doesn't change the fact that this delay puts my life on hold and the whole process is very frustrating because it's so random and there is no transparency on CIC side.

That's what I have issue with ... This is the only service I know of that you pay for - and yet don't seem to be given any visibility as to where things are. Clear concise information, and honest open timelines and dialogue.

As you said - super frustrating. Very difficult to explain to friends/family just how much it affects our lives, health, morale ... And just being able to plan a life.

Agreed,

Extremely difficult for those unable to work and make money due to this delay...

A guy in the EE forum was enquiring about PPR received for 2016 this morning and by mid afternoon about 3 others received theirs. Maybe it's all about asking and receiving so i'll ask...

Hi Team,

I am just wondering if any one got PPR in Jan 2016. CIC is so silent in giving PPR in this new year :-)

Thanks,
Astro

Not that I have any useful thing to share. But I thought it may keeps us in check of the situation.

I E mail my MP on Monday, and here is what I received:

Dear Mr. McKinnon,

Wishing you a happy new year.

Regarding our previous discussion, I hope you could help me with my immigration application that has been abnormally put on hold for so long. Call center agents have been really rude recently. As soon as we 2014 applicants mention that we are 2014 CEC applications, they did not even bother to check the status, each agent just randomly set up a date for us to call back (the end of December, Jan, Feb, May,...). There are articles from Globe and Mail, Toronto Star, Forbes,.... mention about this problem and how bad it has affecting us skill worker class.

Finishing the backlog is also one of many promises that our Prime Minister had promised us in his campaign.

Thank you,

Hi ###,

We are of course working on the backlog problem. We’ve only been in office very briefly, however, and it will unfortunately take more time to make the changes in this (and other areas) that are needed to start turning things around.

I understand your frustration, and that ‘more time,' is not something you want to hear. I am copying this to my parliamentary email address so that office staff has visibility of it, and I ask them to see what can be done to move things along.

Regards,

Ron

I was so sure I would get something by December, I couldn't invest in the 6 month contract job from last 2-3 months , and now I have to take one,
Given my medical is feb 25 , and now they ask for PCC n other things again, and probably another medical around the corner. I think I should take another contract anyway, I don't see it coming before 3 months anymore

Its not about losing money anymore, its about wasting life .. day count - 550+ ..
I would prefer if they just give us a 2 month bracket at least, even if its too late.. a bracket still lets us plan other things than indefinite waiting for nothing

Hi All,

Just now i got RPRF request, though i have already paid it upfront, I will send them receipt again, but its good sign and i guess they are progressing with June applicants.

It's a standard email as CIC send bulk requests to applicants once in a month. I was in call with CIC agent and he told me it's standard email and they sent to a group. Nothing specific to case. So wait continues...

I understand its standard email, however they dont ask for RPRF request to all applicants as i can see, still many applicants waiting for any update since medicals. Its better then nothing.

At snail's pace , but good sign though

This sure does help.. not by helping us to hear that it is going to take some more time but by the fact he has copied his Parliamentary colleagues so that it catches their attention. Thanks Bro for the effort
