Hello All,

I am June 16, 2014 CEC applicant and I have received an email from CIC on Dec 04, 2015 for new PCC from India and latest Schedule A form with 60 days period. I am came back to India in February 2014 and applied PR in June 2014. And then in the month of Dec 2014 I have submitted my Indian PCC to CIC, this will expire on Dec 10, 2015. So my question is does anybody faced similar situation like me? After submitting the new India PCC again how long it will take CIC to take decision on my application? please advise.

Me too got the same email on Dec 04, 2015 from CIC even though I have submitted my Indian PCC in Jan 2015 which is going to expire on Dec 10, 2015. Did you submitted your PCC along with your application?

I was able to check my ecas earlier this morning with no issues. Would have been over 2 hours ago though.

Today I called CEC call center .As per agent my background check still in progress and the processing time is extended by another 4 more month and asked me to wait till April 2016 .

i got the same response. i think they are giving this response just to get away with the calls. How come they have put a 4 month halt on all applications ? Do they think the backlog will clear itself, if they don't touch the files for another 4 months ?

it is a sad story whats going on with cic... definilty need to be looked after i know people applied in EE and already landed while some of us still waiting.
I do understand being a PR is privilege not everyone has it, so they should let us know instated of the long slow waiting

Hey mine my was submitted almost a year ago but i guess since i've been out for quite a while they want a new one including schedule A
