Hi guys,

Quick question for those who have already gotten their PPRs. What envelops are you using to send your passport and what envelopes are you enclosing for Ottawa to send you your passports back? Instructions in the PPR email do not specify sizes and only say that the envelopes should be purchased from Canada Post.

I am thinking a letter-sized envelope (318 x 241 mm) to send the package to Ottawa and a self-addressed standard-sized envelope (260 x 159 mm) for CIC to send the passport and COPR back. That's CIC asked for when I was applying for an extension on my visa.

My only concern is about the COPR, if CIC be able to fit the COPR into a letter-sized envelope.

Thanks a bunch!

Yes man.. hopefully we get by Wednesday. M carrying my passport to office. Desperate to send my passport to them :p

Does anybody know if the passport has to be valid for a certain number of months to be eligible for the landingn visa or it doesnt matter. My passport has 5 months now but waiting for medical. By the time i get the passport request it will probably have 3 months or so on it. Is that on or do i need to renew?

You shouldnt have taken it so closer!
It is always good to have it valid for more than 6 months.

I spoke to the call center today and they told me that my application is still in process and that I should call back around MARCH 2016 if I don't hear anything from them.

Looks like I'll be waiting on this PR from the beach at home. That would put my processing time to around 22 Months? lol

Hi all,

I finally received a passport request. The email came on Saturday in the evening. My timeline is:

Application received: June 13, 2014
AOR: July 30, 2014
Medical exam: February 5, 2015
PPRF: upfront in September 2015
PPR: November 21, 2015

My ecas status has already changed to Decision Made.

from what i can tell the call centre agents don't know jack... i've read a 100 post with ppl calling them and getting different conclusions. i think we should just wait to hear from cic itself as the call centre ppl are just trained to make excuses and hold us back till the application is actually processed.

Thanks. can you please tell me the exact process to do the medicals upfront.
Also do we need to notify CIC after we do upfront medicals or they update the status by themselves in our file?
