I'm December 2013 applicant and just received medical request on 8 August 2015
finally after a long wait received medical request

Applied Dec 17 2013 CEC category
AOR : Feb 6th 2014

Requested T4 on Dec 2014 and submitted in December 2014
Medical request 7th aug 2015
Medical done on 8 August

Anyone knows is better to pay upfront RPRF or just wait for for cic to reply

Here is my experience.

Some of friend did upfront RPRF, even than they got another to pay the fees. When they contacted CIC, CIC asked them to send the receipt. On the other hand, I paid the fees only upon requesting. I personally feel it is good to wait for the RPRF email.

According to my view, it depend on case to case. I did my MR and RPRF both upfront. I applied 4 time GCMS notes also. One notes still on the way, may recieve on 20-21 august 2015.

Its depends on various factor. But mine case around 20 days.

Yes, but they will help you little bit not that much. I will suggest contact local MP
Im December applicant for me doesn't work with MP may be in your case it will work.

Hello elinorfdn ,

Congratulations on PPR. Reply to the CIC email giving the details of the place you stay and requesting them to change the visa office to that country. I was also like you, I am in India and requested them to change visa office. I received reply in one week with the change of visa office.

Thanks! I wish I saw your reply earlier, because I've sent my passport to Canada and have my friend to send it for VISA stamping instead. Well, it's definitely more time/money consuming AND with a higher risk. Hope my visa and passport will be safely back to me at some point.

I am not sure but what I know that we cant send passport out of the country via courirer.

Funny that people who contacted MP all got the same response, background/criminality check is in progress...
We don't really need to be told about that since we knew it is always in progress, since AOR...
which is exactly why people contacted MP and wish they could help push it forward.
We should tell MP about our status and ask if they can do something to move it forward instead of asking them about the status.
Unlikely to work though, because we're dealing with a stubborn and arrogant douchebag...

@monwar83: What is your timeline ? When was your application received by CIC in June 2014 ?

I got my GCMC notes and it says Medical passed only for my daughter and for me and my wife it says Medical in progress. Criminality passed, Eligibility passed. My medicals are done a month ago and no update for that. Even I have paid RPRF which is not reflected on GCMC.

Due date says 6th Aug 2015 and today is 11th. No update on ECAS and I have not received PPR email as well.

Worried....
