Hi everyone,

I'm a June 16th applicant.

ECAS only has 1 line : 1. We received your application for permanent residence on June 16, 2014. I'm also on second review

I have passed all deadline in my GCMS note which I just received yesterday but Eligibility is still in progress
Security is not Started
Criminality is In progress
Medical is not started.

I am the sole applicant of my case. According to my MP and call centre agents, my case has been put on hold because they did not see my RCMP fingerprint in the original file. They issued a letter on January 29th to request another finger print but they've never sent it out. Until recently when I talked to my MP that I found out about this (call agents still said "application is still in progress"). After I rushed to get another RCMP fingerprint and sent it to CPC-O. They sent an email to my MP and apologised about "there is a misunderstanding, the office had never sent any request letter to your client, our apologise". So they put my application on hold for 6 months just because of some request they did not send.

The reason why I am on second review is even funnier. My Owner used to have 2 facilities that were next door to each other so the phone numbers of these facility are similar xxx-xxx-7007 and xxx-xxx-7008. CIC could not locate the 7007 facility on GOOGLE SEARCH (as showed in GCMS note) only 7008 showed up. So he/she stated in my GCMS note that this need 2nd review. Eventhough the 7007 showed plainly on the yelow page. After I sent an explaination letter. They deleted that statement in my GCMS note, put I'm still on second reveiw anyway.

Now that it is clearly nothing is wrong with the application, and it is purely CIC fault that is has been delayed. Nobody touch it yet till now.
They said apologies, that was kind of surprising to me . Anything else was no surprise. Google search, lol, that's the government's professional way of doing background check. I've also heard cases where someone didn't hear anything after MR for a year ('in progress' of course), but only found out his/her file was lost (couldn't be located) after requesting GCMS notes.

Pity on you... This is so frustrating that for these simple errors from CIC, we have to wait for a long time.

Atleast, glad that it is in progress now.

Looks like CIC now put "we started processing....on..." based on AOR date for all third lines added recently, more likely to be a change/inconsistency instead of typos.

Several October applicants got third lines showing up...

Hello Guys,

I applied my PR on June 30th, 2014 via lawyer, got my AOR sometime in August. There after there was no update/reply. Some time in February I got request from CIC via my lawyer for police clearance certificate and the same was sent a week later. There after there was no update. I did my upfront medical in June, 2015 and my doctor send the report to CIC. There after there was no update. I keep on checking the CIC portal for my application status, but it always shows as In Process. I see people saying in the forum saying that 2 line updated, 3 line updated, I don't understand. Could someone let me know what it is and also let me know how can I know my application progress?

Thanks.

Apply for GCMS notes.. on your application:
https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/requesterInformation

costs $5 and it will take 30days to get it.. But it gives you detailed information on your application..

Like for me, it was noted that i hadnt given Employment letter and that i might need Police Clearance Certificate from a country i previously lived in.
CIC did not communicate this to me that i need to give them those documents, but since they were in the notes i decided to send them to CIC regardless.

You got click on the "In Process", then you will see your application "step by step" status, usually people see two lines after their medicals, when the 3rd line shows up, that means the process is almost over and the applicant will receive their PPR soon.

I wish, if there was an option where people can go to the case processing centre and get their application processed just like any other service in government offices.
It is too much of mystery the way CIC is processing applications left and right!
Most of the July 2014 first review applications got their PPRs in June and July and the most of the June first review applications didnt get anything even now.

it is too much of delay now :-(

My wish is a lot smaller. Wished they had at least a reasonable quick process for landing inside Canada. Currently, it takes an extra two months+ to get an appointment after PPR!
Now, after all these delays, all my visas are expired...Even if they give me PPR in the next few weeks, I have no other options than refusal at border.(Since my employer is angry and waiting!)

It's not easy to handle 280,000+ annual positive PR applications in person, but shouldn't be that hard to just welcome someone in 2 minutes, without another 2 months of waiting!
