Hi,

It is my first time in here!

I'am a June 2014 applicants (spousal). Based on my ECAS my application received June 04, 2014 and my medical received as well. I received an email for passport request on Sept 09, 2014 and just submitted on Sep 22, 2014.
My Questions:
1. Is this means that this is visa printing?
2. How long it takes to have a visa after the passport request?
3. Is there's a possibility that the VO will ask additional documents?

Please I need your help. Thank you.

Hi There,
Congrats with your PPR!
There's no assurance as to how long it would take to get the visa after PPR. As of now, CEM has been collecting passports and keeping it for as long as 4 months now!! You can check the trend here on Manila VO spreadsheet: http://tinyurl.com/mqn3qjd
Also, we cannot really say for now if VO will still ask for additional docs.

But then again, you can get lucky too and get your visa sooner than the usual. It all depends on your visa officer & the completeness of your package.

Lets just pray and keep our fingers crossed that us, June applicants will be within the norm :D
Cheers!

Hi Shadow,

Thank you so much for your reply. It enlighten me much.
I hope and I pray to have my visa before December.

God Bless us!

PLEASE HELP!

A immigration lawyer me and my fiance talked to said its ok for my fiance to stay in Manila and apply for Sponsorship/PR for me after getting married. As he will be staying with me, he will not have income at all until such time we can go back to Canada - would this affect the sponsorship application?
