That was indeed fast suenim, good luck for the test and the rest of the process...

Just curious... are you not from the west end of toronto? Are you closer to scarb or the st.clair office but yet your local office was Mississauga?

Trying to understand if cic has started balancing the application load between the mississauga & scarb office. Its about time if thats the case..

Thanks spellbinder. I live in Scarborough. Not far from the Scarborough civic centre as a matter of fact.

OMG!!! I got a request to write the test!!! I don't understand why I have to go to Mississauga though... but I am happy with the speedy response.

Here is my timeline:

We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on June 6, 2013.

We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on June 6, 2013. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

We started processing your application on August 21, 2013.

We sent you a notice on November 29, 2013 to appear and write the citizenship test on December...
Congrats :)

I just applied in case I get RQ or if they recorded my entries properly. Wanted to know what is in there. They missed one of my entries. The CBSA officer didn't stamp my passport then. I have a boarding pass from that time. I also applied for US CBP report and OHIP. I got OHIP but no CBP yet.

I finally received my CBSA report. It was showing everything correctly. There is 4 stamps missing on my passport where the officers forgot or were lazy to stamp my passport. I recommend everyone to check their stamps and if there is any stamp missing, apply for CBSA report and take it with you to the test. They will be checking all stamps and since some stamps are missing, the CBSA report will be the only proof that the entry dates you had written in the application is correct.

Dejaavu, i think I should do the same thing.

I have travelled to my home country India once (for a 2weeks trip )...... Crossed border around 10 times ( All are day trips only ), I don't remember my trip dates to US.

Can you please suggest what are the documents/Reports we should keep it ready , just in case we get a RQ.

I don't the exact RQ list.

My friend who got RQed told it took him a long time to get CBSA and CBP report as well as OHIP.

I got the CBSA and OHIP reports ready. I am yet to receive the CBP. I should get it in Feb 2014 since their turnaround time is about six months. I submitted the request in August.

I think the most compelling proof of presence in Canada is employment for a reputable company that requires going to work Monday to Friday 9 to 5. I will include my letter of employment and pay stubs as well as Notices of Assessments.

Vias,

Didn't US CBP stamp your passport?

They stamped me most of the time with the exception of few times.

A few times CBSA officers didn't stamp my passport. That is why I got the CBSA report as well as my boarding passes ready.

No, they didnt stamp every time.

I have a B1/B2 visa which is valid for 10 years. First time when i cross border they gave me a temporary visiting card which is valid for 6 months, at that time they did stamp in my pass port. Rest of the 6 months period they didn't do any stampings, they simply checked my 6months visa card , that's it.

After 6 months again stamping, so its basically one stamp for every 6 months.
