Guys,

Do you know how long the Police Clearance certificate (PCC) is valid? The one which I submitted was dated as on 1st May, 2012.

I already received my MR and RPRF request and I sent medicals and paid the RPRF fee.

Would it be still valid before I got my PPR request or on other words till I get PR?

Do I need to apply for another PCC ? I scared to do so, because these days it is taking hell lot of time for the Indian consulate to process the Police Clearance Certificate request?

Are anyone of you in the same boat? Pls suggest how to proceed.

Hi ganesh ,

shudnt it be the case that the PCC validity id needed only till the time the docs are getting verified and a ppr request is sent ? ideally once the approval is received ,then it should no longer be needed ...

but then again u never know CIC ...

I submitted the request long time ago but I think that it was misplaced somewhere and then they probably got ot on Feb 26.

I submitted another request today and will see when i will get it.

Rosty2, you are right. Never thought about it that way. When I have kids, I will have a looooong story and an interesting one to tell I am sure that all of us will tell our kids stories as what we are doing will be to guarantee and secure their future to live in such a great country like Canada.

Well if this is any help.... My ecas status just changed to 'in process' today and i received my medical n RPRF 2 days ago. I think they change it to in process once they send you the medical (not 100%sure). Also it doesn't change immediately as mine changed 2 days after getting MR.

My application showed 'in process' from sept-dec and in jan it changed to 'application received'!! The record disappeared all together for a few weeks in feb until i called techsupport on it.

Hello,

I have a question regarding GCMS notes and would really appreciate it if someone can help me out.

When I'm filling in the "Access to Information and Personal Information Request Form", for the question "Please select the Act under which you are submitting this request", which box should I tick? Is is the "Access to Information Act" or the "Privacy Act"? Please note that I'm currenly in Canada.

Also if I'm not mistaken, I believe I should be asking for the "Electronic files" and NOT the "Physical files"; can someone confirm?
