Hi all just a rookie question here:

Is GCMS notes mandatory in CEC PR application?

*I'm a late May 2012 applicant I got my med request Mar 2013*

Thanks a lot

It's been more than a month since my ECAS turned into "In Process." ... Nothing happened ...

I also need CIC to issue me a Request for Police Certificate so that I can proceed the Police Certificate with Hong Kong, where I had stayed for 1 year.

Should I write to them or phone them?

Thank you.

Hi Yvincent,
Both CIC and HK Police will tell you to wait for the official request...CIC requested a HK police cert 2 months after I received the AOR...

@ s_w_u : not at all ...it it just to look at whats being written in ur file at CIC !! just for your Info ....

Thanks very much iceman4231!
Does it help a lot to avoid any potential issues though?

From many many posts I assume its best to apply one if one doesnt get reply/update from CIC for a long period of time...which is not *yet* my case...

thast true ..prob another 2 weeks from the the time u sent ur meds ,u can request one to see if they found any issue with the medical and when are they going to send the ppr reqest etc ..

have done the same myself as well. my meds were received on 12th feb ....

no update since then

@iceman4231

Mind sharing your timeline and other details?
Did you pay the RPRF yet?

Thanks, s_w_u.

I received the AOR last November, which is more than 4 months passed till now. Still nothing ... this is worrying. Should I do anything?

Thanks again.

4 months? You are just over the "120 days" notice after the AOR then...what you should do is to contact the CIC office directly...

This message is stated clearly on the AOR..."If you have not received any instructions from this office by 120 days from the date of this letter, you are requested to contact this office directly. "

In my case, I got the AOR on Sep 13th and I got a document request email from CIC on Nov 1 requesting for the HK Police cert...with that official request I contacted the HK Police and they issued + sent the original directly to Ottawa CIC on Dec 12...

Guys: So I just checked the eCAS and it is saying In-Processing NOT Decision made any more.

just wanted to share this with all these people who are waiting :)

I am a late May applicant, almost June :)
My ECAS changed to 'In process' Jan 11, so it's been two month already, even a bit more, and
still no movement from the CIC. I've seen people for whom it moves quickly from the 'In process' to the MR stage,
and some have to wait a couple of months or even more.
Just hope for the best, I don't think we can do anything but just wait.

Hey I got a similar timeline, also got a PCC request on Nov 1st, sent it to CIC by late November,
and am still waiting for anything from CIC. My ecas changed to 'in process' in early January, but no MRs and nothing from CIC yet.
Hope something will come soon.

email them with your application number and see what they say.

best of luck. mine was just received yesterday (MR) so just be patient. I checked the July application and some of them got their MR as well. So really there is no secret answer for it. Its the timeline.

When I originally applied, it said estimated processing time is 14 months. So you still have till Aug to worry.

I will just give it another week or two and you will hear from them.

Thanks s_w_u, really appreciate your advices.

Although I failed to find the 120 days statement on my AOR, I guess I have to write to CIC on this.

Did you try ordering your GCMS notes ?
