Hi Asdfg574,

Firstly, congrats on getting that fantastic email from CIC. I guess i have to wait few more months before i'd see it in my inbox.

Regarding medical - can you get it done prior to receiving the notification from CIC? Do you know the doctor personally or family friend ..etc? I thought they only process once the notification is sent by CIC.

Grateful if you could update how and when the doctor sent your details to CIC.

Many thanks.

Just got an email from CIC requesting my almost-26-year-old son's birth certificate from California. I guess they want proof that he is over 22 years old.

Hope this doesn't push me back in the queue. I will have it to them tomorrow.

Will they accept a PDF attached to an email, or do I need to print out the PDF my son is sending me and send it by post?

They should accept pdf via email. Nevertheless, I suggest you also send a surface mail with the printout.

All the best!

The fastest way is to email them a copy of a birth certificate.

Scan and e-mail documents (other than police certificates) to: OttPilot-Immigration@cic.gc.ca

Hi Seniors,

Normally how long does it take from the ECAS status of "In Process" to making decisions on Medical Request?

Thanks!

It really is case specific - takes longer for others and shorter for some. Average times can be misleading. For some, it's days or weeks - for others, it's months or even greater.

Hi,

I was wondering if everyone receives a "Your application is in process" email before receiving their MR. Like does CEC notify that the application is being looked by an officer.

Regards

Hi June applicants,

it's a sad day for me, I got an email from CEC today, my application got declined. The reason is about the NOC code between NOC 6221 and NOC 6411

NOC 6411 which is skill level C
Sales representatives, wholesale trade (non-technical), perform some or all of the following duties:

Promote sales to existing clients

Identify and solicit potential clients

Provide clients with presentations on the benefits and uses of goods or services

Estimate or quote prices, credit or contract terms, warranties and delivery dates

Prepare or oversee preparation of sales or other contracts

Consult with clients after sale or signed contracts to resolve problems and to provide ongoing support

Review and adapt to information regarding product innovations, competitors and market conditions

Represent companies that export and import products or services to and from foreign countries

May conduct sales transactions through Internet-based electronic commerce

May supervise the activities of other sales representatives.

AND NOC 6221 which is skill level B

Technical sales specialists perform some or all of the following duties:

Promote sales to existing clients

Identify and solicit potential clients

Assess clients' needs and resources and recommend the appropriate goods or services

Provide input into product design where goods or services must be tailored to suit clients' needs

Develop reports and proposals as part of sales presentation to illustrate benefits from use of good or service

Estimate costs of installing and maintaining equipment or service

Prepare and administer sales contracts

Consult with clients after sale to resolve problems and to provide ongoing support

Troubleshoot technical problems related to equipment

May train customers' staff in the operation and maintenance of equipment

May conduct sales transactions through Internet-based electronic commerce

May supervise the activities of other technical staff and sales specialists.

Both are pretty close to my job duties, therefore i went with NOC 6411 which i didn't know it's a skill level C.

my question is should i rectify CIC regarding this rejection or should i re-apply since i have had a working experience under NOC 6235 financial service representative, but i have left Canada for my home country because my work permit has expired.

Please advice!!! thank you

Hi uing - Sorry to hear your rejection. Tough time - have courage.

Re: NOC codes - I understand that CIC mailed you rejection since NOC 6411 is level C. But, I am not sure why you have mentioned NOC 6221 in your post here. Is this because CIC referred to NOC 6211 in your rejection mail? I suppose the answer is "no".
So, the question is that if you want to reapply, which NOC should you pick?
I think you have to consider two factors:
1. What is the NOC in your WP?
2. Which NOC matches your job roles/duties as mentioned in ref. letter?

If both concur to same NOC that would be the NOC under which you should apply.
If there is a conflict, then you may go with #2 provided #1 is close to #2 (same skill level as #2, and not level C off course).
Hope this helps.

Good news guys - I just received a medical request.

Sorry to hear about your declined application uing. If you have 12 months work experience in that category B NOC, I suggest you send a new application ASAP.
