Hi, im new here.. Im about to send our application hopefully by tommorow. But im a bit worried about my option c, it says single on the marital status. But when i phone the revenue last week about changing my status from single into married, they said i dont have to do it bec it is my privacy thingy???... Btw.. Got married last april 2012 and just got back in toronto 2 weeks ago. I hope it wont create a problem on my application as a sponsor. Need some insights please.... Thank you

your option c is for your 2011 taxation year I am assuming and in 2011 you must have been single if married in 2012 so it will not be a problem and as long as you do not collect child tax benefits you can just report your marital status on your 2012 tax return...hope this helps.

My option C had the same. It only reflects your status for the year before. The marriage certificate is proof that you are married. Not everybody changes their marital status right away. All should be fine.

i just read some post in "March 2012". they were talking about applications in Ottawa and Mississauga !!
Where should we post our applications ?!?!?!

and something else in post website it is written "Item out for delivery" what is it ? is it delivered or not ?!?!?!
i sent it on 18th from Toronto, why is took so long to get there?
i have no idea how i can handle this 9-10 months :-X :'(

Send your applications to Mississauga. Ottawa received some applications from Mississauga because of the backlog.
Item out for delivery means that it is prepared to be shipped at distribution center of the post. Your application should arrive at CIC Missisauga tomorrow if all goes normal.
Learn to be patient. If you learn yourself it is less hard. We all have to wait and we support each other to go through the wait. Best of luck.
