11 more to go in June and then we make way for the Juliennes :D

After 64 days we finally got the email today approving my partner as a sponsor. We were so overcome with joy and relief. Wishing the same to all those still patiently waiting.

to everyone whose been approved and those of us that have not and it's pass the timeline, how many of you sent the option C printout and how many others sent a letter and proof of employment/T4's. how much proof of relationship did you send? Im just trying to figure out if some of this has an impact on how long it takes for them to process it.

Hi Kourts

Really sorry you are still waiting...

We didn't send option C - but that was because my partner has been working in the UK for 6 years so hadn't been filing taxes in Canada. We sent a letter from his employer, 12 months of payslips and the P60 UK year end tax certificate plus proof of savings - screen shot from savings account.

We are applying as Common Law so we needed to be extra smart with evidence gathering but nothing OTT - we included joint leases, joint utility bills, stat dec of common law union, plus 3 stat decs from family members as well as testimonials from friends and family. Pension beneficiary, joint bank account, car insurance docs. Wedding invites from friends, Christmas cards, proof of travel together, photos of holidays and photos with family and friends etc. We each wrote "our story" and our plans for relocating...

Hope this helps... and really hope you hear something real soon...

Hi kourts!

We didn't send an option C print out since it is not available yet.
My husband just filed his taxes for the first time for year 2010.
Instead, we sent a letter explaining why we can't send an option C and we also
included his paystubs and certification of employment.

We sent almost 200 photos of our travels, wedding images,
photos with our families, airplane tickets, passport stamps, yahoo messenger screen shots,
magic jack and skype logs.

That comprises most of our proof of relationship and almost all those images
were with captions/descriptions.

Hang on in there, you'll get an update soon too :)

I guess the option C wasnt the problem. My wife sent a letter from her employer, paystubs and her T4's from the most recent tax year.

Hi Kourts! On our case, my hubby sent the option C printout, a letter and proof of employment and his employment history and a copy of his bank account. regarding the proof of relationship, same with what Trizienne sent - only that we didnt send that much photos :). But we made sure there were photos of our travels, wedding, photos with both families and our friends, airline tickets and boarding passes, our emails to each other and emails from some of his family members.

I know how hard it is to wait that long... hoping that you hear from CIC soon. God bless! :)

Kourts, i have sent option c, t4 slip copy, employment letter from my employer, i only included 3 paystubs, i sent almost 500 pictures of our wedding, engagement, travel, honeymoon, airline ticket copy and copy of boarding pass, some emails, letters and cards.

you will hear something soon from CIC!!!

Delhi takes 6 months average processing time , still your are not happy.
Think we are stuck at Singapore of 21 months processing time.
You feel sad but we feel nasty. Can not wait when Singapore VO will process my application.
Is there any option or way to know which months file they are working on it? I wish at least they can give that info even they increase time for processing.

I second that Mirjahan! People from Singapore & Pakistan have waiting times of 20+ months! Yet people complain!
