sahib... your application is listed as received on June 27 in June's spreadsheet, is that accurate?

Yes but I sent it June 8th. It arrived in Mississauga June 10 and after that no updates for me on the Canada post website. So I think mine was delivered before the lock out start. The reason why I didn't got delivery report is because they locked out everything. So I was lucky that mine was get out before lock out start (June 14).
Also I sent my application on priority service next AM delivery. But took them 2 or 3 days to arrived my application in Mississauga.

Why they ask for passport? for give visa stamp? I am confuse.
YOur husband apply June 1 and approved July 7 from CIC-M. And Manila VO asked for passport ?

Submitted to CIC : June 1
Sponsor's approval: July 11
File Transfer to Manila: July 20
Passport Request: August 19

Yes, it is another step closer to getting the Visa.
But it depends on the VO's processing how long it would take to issue and return the passport with Visa already.

My passport request letter came today, after calling post offices
in our city and asking Mr. Postman a dozen times yesterday.

The embassy should pay us for emotional damages ! This whole process is arduous!
There are times, like yesterday that I feel so helpless and today, over-excitement.
