Congratulations!!Good morning all,
Finally, tracker updated on Dec 14 but I just checked now , it shows waiting for Oath Ceremony Jan 27, yay
All status changed to complete and Oath ceremony - in progress
No email yet, I guess it should be coming soon
@asadkhan_2 - You will get and sign the oath affirmation form at the ceremony. You should get it at the ceremony then.
@hssrp - Is it the same for you too as yours is also in-person oath?
I called IRCC today and they said its a different form and they have sent it to me on Dec 4th somehow I have not received it. I requested again to send it to me lets see. I have the consent form on Notifice to Appear but that's different.@asadkhan_2 - You will get and sign the oath affirmation form at the ceremony.
In your oath invite PDF, in last page there is a consent form, make sure you sign and bring it to your ceremony.
Same question. Can somebody clarify what is this interview about? Random applications? What is citizenship interview for purpose of identity documents verification? Is it only about documents verification or does the office go through other questions? Does it mean the application is moving?
Thank you advanced
Thank you but no email yet, any idea how long it takes to get oath email. thanksCongratulations!!
@moonlightshadow @m0hammadi The "Notice to appear for interview" will have a title of what the interview will be about. Mine was to verify identity documents. Sometimes, it could be for other reasons too. What is citizenship interview for purpose of identity documents verification? The officer I had the interview was really nice compared to what I read online & what I've heard from other people I know. I was asked to verify IDs, about my frequent travel to the US, about immediate family/family in Canada & how my absences were calculated. I was told the next step was to move the application to the next department and asked if I had any questions for her.
Prior to COVID, interview was a mandatory part of the process. Not sure how they pick applicants now. From personal experience, anyone who has had frequent travel outside of Canada maybe requested to appear for an interview. Hope this answers your question.
