Now I ca relax I’m done very much end of the application hopefully I can enjoy receiving my wife at the airport when the time comes but still gonna be thinking about you guys and hopping everyone gets out of this happy too
There are a few things going on here. It seems to me that if both couples are living outside Canada the application is taking much longer.
Still waiting since July 21. Not a peep and when our lawyer sent a message about our application he has told not to bother them with questions anymore.

I did received the PPR to my email not to my lawyer and she ask me how come you get the email first
Is your eligibility in process ? I emailed ndvo and was told that your information is upto date and they are processing it

I had applied sponsor Visa for my husband and medical, eligibility and biometrics are completed. We received the pre-arrival email on April 27, 2022. Since then there has been no updates, we are also seeing ghost updates on our application.
Our background check has not started until now. Almost 3 months of silence. Is this expected?
Anyone else here waiting on background check? Any idea how long more would we have to wait for passport request?

I'm a Nov 2021 applicant, and my eligibility and background check are both also at "Not Started" in the new tracker. That being said, in GCKEY it shows eligibility in progress (background check not started there either)... so I think what it shows in the new tracker is not particularly accurate.
There are several people who had them both go from "not started" to "completed"
