You have to tell cbsa that you are here for "flagpolling" they will give you the directions over there after. Bring your documents in case they ask for anything, usually they don't ask anything except passport, copr, valid visitor status.LANDING Question:
We applied outland but my husband and I moved to BC in February (I am a Canadian citizen, he is allowed he as a visitor until August 15th). We are now awaiting his passport to be sent back with COPR. We are hoping to drive over the US border and re-enter Canada to activate his PR. If we do it this way, how long do we have to stay in the US before we can turn the car around and come back into Canada? Can we simply go get a bite to eat in the states and then turn around? and then at the border, when we enter the states, do we just say we are going over for 1 hour and turning around to activate PR? One final question, will we need to do an accompanying goods list? As be brought his stuff over as a visitor back in February..
Hi @Jotsran thanks so much! I read elsewhere though that flagpolling will leave a note in your passport that you've been refused entry into the US therefore making it more difficult the next time you wish to enter the states. You have to tell cbsa that you are here for "flagpolling" they will give you the directions over there after. Hi dear, i have no idea about this, never heard about this that they leave a note. I did the flagpolling as well and i have no note on my passport.Hi @Jotsran thanks so much! As long as we have permission to enter the US (proper docs), is there any harm just going across for an hour and returning?
