That's normal, besides you are going to Mexico visa office, so based on what I've heard could be 11 months (fast and easy applications) or more than 12 (slow and complicated applications), best of luck ! Right now they are sending PPR for people from June and July 2018 so relax and enjoy the weatherYou are not alone!!! Most of us on this forum have to endure the long and painfully agonizing waiting time. I have 6 months and my file has not been trasfered to the Overseas Visa Office. I have 6 more months to go. As you say that the files are sitting in a corner collecting dust and in the meantime we, the sponsors/applicants don't hear a thing for months...

Hi S_N, where can I see/hear that automated line??...on GCkey or by calling??...thanksNothing at all. Just dead silent. AUTOMATED line states that they are processing up until July 13, 2018. At this point to I don't know what to believe to be honest. I have a lawyer so I cant really see any updates on my file which is a sucky part.
@AmaarAmad, Canadian phone line is 1888 -242-2100, option 1, option 1, option 2, and then option 3. Key in applicants file number and date of birth.Hi S_N, where can I see/hear that automated line??...on GCkey or by calling??...thanks

Note that the automated system is down for almost 3 weeks so you will not be able to here your file status.
Thank you for your response and well wishes. Our application might not be complicated since neither of us has been married before or have children from another relationship, but at the end the officer has the last word...That's normal, besides you are going to Mexico visa office, so based on what I've heard could be 11 months (fast and easy applications) or more than 12 (slow and complicated applications), best of luck !
