My Application will be going to 1 year this June 25, 2019. My application for 6 members of my family still In-Process. I called the CIC 3 times but they always say to wait until June 25, 2019. Why should we wait for 1 year then wait again for how many months..

Yes, the same happend to me when I contacted CIC, they told me to wait until my 1 year anniversary. I'm assuming they are waiitng until they have enough applicants to fill the Rogers Centre then we can take the oath all at the same time.

Same here from Scarborough. In process since Sept. 21, 2018. I am hoping we will start getting Test Invite toward the end of July. I am thinking of ordering an ATIP check at one year anniversary. Any ideas about that? Thanks!

We The North!:)

Emailed them last week asking about my Oath ceremony, as I gave test on 15th Feb and haven't heard anything after that. Got following reply.
"Tell me something which I don't know :("

Good day,

Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

We are happy to provide you with information that will help you understand the current status of your Application for Canadian Citizenship - Adults.

  • Your application is currently at the IRCC office in Mississauga. This office is verifying if you meet the eligibility requirements to be granted Canadian citizenship. Rest assured that you will be contacted if additional information is needed.
  • The next step will be to invite you to attend the citizenship ceremony. The local office will schedule an appointment for you in due course, if necessary.
  • We recommend that you verify the e-Client Application Status (e-CAS) online tool regularly to see when a new notice is sent to you.
In the meantime, we invite you to visit our website for the estimated processing time and for the steps following the submission of a Citizenship application.

Although the estimated time may vary, rest assured that we are making the necessary efforts to process your application within established processing times.

Should you need to travel during this time, please ensure to hold a valid permanent resident card.

We hope the information provided is helpful in assisting you with your enquiry.

We would also like to suggest the following online services that might be helpful to you with any immigration, refugee and/or citizenship future requests:

At my interview, she asked right away for PR card, ID's and all the passports in my possession.

If you have any stamps in a foreign language (usually different alphabet like arabic or Cyrillic) bring a translation of those.
You don't need your COPR now, only for the oath ceremony.

Good luck!

Congratulations to you aswell as you’ve become a citizen, thank you for putting your time and effort into this community

Thanks Goldiedawn .

I think if we reach our 1 year anniversary for our application. its time to call our MP's to help us with our application. I am planning to call our MP by June 24 if no letter received within this period. I have a friend who already take oath but I applied first and already Citizen..but I applied 2 months ahead..its very frustrating that you've learned that all those who applied late are the one who processed first...

Ceremony was on June 7th. Thank you all for your help and support during this journey and good luck with for those who are still waiting, wish you all the best!

I hope that we should provide translation of stamps valid only during eligibility period.
