Hi Pris,
Any news on your GCMS notes? I received the same generic email saying that the 35 days limit has expired and that they have requested the note status.
No not yet unfortunately... almost 45 days now :(

What happened to the trend that: If you are long stuck at IP1 you will soon get PPR after IP2, and If it took very little time to go from IP1 to IP2 then there is long wait before PPR. Is that still valid?

This what all candidates say , but I don't know whether it's true or not .

For me, they just started by background check, which I assume makes me an IP1. The problem is, since I did not receive any notification message, I may have missed the 'not applicable' status and be already on IP2.

Either way, as someone already said, those are just "made up status" based on applicants' feedback, and does not reflect the real individual status. I have read about some people that did not even have any updates before the PPR. I assume the status update is done manually by the visa officer, so it is not really reliable.

In my case, the only thing I know (and not even for sure) is that they finally started my background check after 100+ days since AOR...

Almost 4 months for me and i am still in IP1. 7th july AOR, country of residence is Nigeria.
Do you know your visa office?
If it's Ottawa then it's likely that you'll move to IP2 any day now.

That trend stopped about two months ago.
Now you can expect to be on IP2 ranging from 3 days to 6 weeks before getting your PPR.

You are in IP2

Crossed 100 day mark. (104 running)
AOR: 24-July,
MEP: 17-August,
No further updates, as I applied through Consultancy.
I also applied through a consultant in Delhi though I work in Mayanmar. I ask them monthly screenshot/update which they email me on the same day.

You are in IP2
Why IP2? Since I received my Meds the BC status was always "We will send you a message when we start your background check". This is the first BC status update.

I mean, if I am really IP2 that would be awesome, as by the trends I should be receiving the PPR in the next weeks.

Wasn't it you that posted this earlier?
"just checked my profile and I noticed that they started my background check, even though I did not receive any message or notification.

My background status was "Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check."
Now it is "We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information."

To add to the weirdness, my eligibility status is still "We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements", so apparently they have started my background but did not finish my eligibility???"

That's IP1 to IP2.

I have the exact same AOR. Just relax. We're barley 4 months in, as long as it is under six months we're still good. You can order gcms to get in depth information
stay positive!

Okay, I read the link again (it has been a while):

IP1: This will happen one or two days after your medical. Sometimes on the same day itself. BG status message in this stage will be “Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check.”.

IP2: BG status message in this stage will be “We are processing your background check. we will send you a message if we need more information.“

So it seems it is indeed IP2...
