Thank you! And yep, that's what you would probably want to do also. Here's how it went down. I called and spoke to one of the agents and they asked that I just scan and digitally submit the FBI Clearance letter. When my application had arrived in Ottawa and if they required the original copy they would ask it. Wanting to err on the side of caution and not risk any delay, I called again to verify that my file had in fact made it to Ottawa and went about sending the letter with a cover sheet detailing my application number and UCI number shortly after paying my RPRF.

Take into account, like some here I'm sure, my wife and I never received a heck of a lot of correspondence from CIC. Perhaps 3 emails total from the time we started this process. If ever in doubt, just call and bug em :D I hope that helps. Best of luck to you, I'm sure you're right behind us.

Yes, this definitely helps!! Thank you so much!!!! I sure hope so too!! :)

Just received an email saying there was an "update"

Final decision now reads: Application has been approved! HOORAY. :P

Wishing all other applications a fast and fuss free journey to P.R. This forum has been amazing and I'll continue to come on every now and then to assist where I can.

One last question; what is the next step? Do they require my passport or something? Assuming i'll receive further information.

Congrats! That is wonderful news!

As long as you followed their instructions, it will be okay. :)

Hello,

I am from Brazil too! We sent our documents in November.
I am intending to wait all the process in Canada. I am a bit confuse about the moment they request my passaport.
Do I have to come back to Brazil and send the passaport to São Paulo consulate or I can send to Ottawa once I am in Canada?
As we applyed as outland, I dont know if it is possible,

Other question, how long did your application take?

Wonderful news! Congratulations.

(wondering how you got Ottawa though - we got Sydney for processing)

Thanks DollyM !

Yes not sure why Ottawa, the first correspondence we had mentioned Sydney and then there after Ottawa. Must just depend on staff ratio and work loads at the time?

& thank you to all the other congratulatory mentions :D

Received an email this morning with further instruction, will be sending my passport to Sydney, Australia this Monday.

Hello! How long does it take to have PPR after your background check turned into IN progress? Its been 1 week since my BC turned In progress, but until now I haven't received my PPR. While others received ppr just a day after their BC turned In Progress. Any advice or insights for this?

Mine was in progress for over 6 weeks as they requested further documents. This isn't something to go by from my understanding.

Well, congrats again. We're actually not in that big of a rush to move, so it won't matter if we don't hear until the end of summer (in Australia). We are planning to head to the UK & Ireland in June for 4 weeks then off to Canada to validate the visa in July then move probably mid 2018 permanently.

Yeah we're not moving until mid next year but feels so good to have it organised! Just need to get the kids Canadian passports and we'll be ready to roll. So you'll be visiting within the 12 month validity of health test which will validate the PR 8) smart.

Your VO is different than mine, My VO is Ottawa, but my BC has been in process for almost 4 weeks! Yikes. I was counting on PPR much quicker than this. Good luck, I hope yours is not as long as mine.

I thought your BC went in process on Friday November 18? That's only 3 weeks :P Patience ;D

Is it normal to see ECAS go to "Decision Made", but not the MyCIC page? How long after "Decision Made" were people receiving COPRs, if that does indeed mean I've been approved? :)

It seems to greatly vary. For me it was: Friday -> MyCIC (DM), Monday -> CoPR and ECAS. Others have reported any other possible combination on this forum, I believe.

Hey squad...it's been a while! I got PPR a week ago and they also requested for additional info, in the same email. But there is not any updates on MyCIC or Ecas. Background check not yet in progress.
I'm confused....

hello, i am a July applicant. the application was sent in July 24 and got the AOR saying they've received my application 3 days after.

on September 7, my wife got an email saying the application for her permanent residency was received at the manila visa office. they requested for:
the RPRF receipt that i already paid beforehand;
and some of the application form that me and my wife had completed and sent in with the whole applicaition package.

they only required the forms if it wasnt sent in with the package so we didnt send them another one because im definite that it was in the package.

that would be the last updated that we got regarding the whole application.

i never got anything saying that i was approved to be a sponsor, but since the application reached manila visa office, we assumed that i got approved and now were just waiting for her to be approved as the sponsored person. please tell me if i am wrong about my assumption.

also she hasn't done any medical test. we are just waiting for them to be requested. i am wondering how long should we wait to get the medical request?

thank you guys for any kind of help. god bless us all
