Is it possible that CIC has reached its 2016 quota already? Or is reaching its 2016 quota already? That's why they are slowing down in giving PPR's? If so, what happens to the rest of 2016 applicants? :-X :'( Just curious..

is there really such a quota? I think there are targets they want to reach but it's a goal and not a cutoff. That's a bit distressing if you're right.

:-) Pretty exactly 1 month, November 1st-December 2nd.

Thanks for the response. I just checked and for me it has only been 3 weeks. Hopefully something soon for me!

Have a great day!

It should happen soon-ish. All about this process is waiting-waiting-waiting and then - out of the blue - everything has happened.

Thanks Alias5000!

Any July 2016 NDVO applicants have medicals passed in Mycic? I linked my wife's application yesterday and medicals still say not needed at this time!
ECAS only has 2 lines on PA side. No mention of medicals received! We did upfront medicals and submitted them with her file.
Any suggestions?

I am not sure as well, i hope you are right though. :'(

Just called to speak to an agent this morning to verify that they received our RPF and FBI clearance and they said our application was approved as of Dec 2nd!!!! :D ECAS shows decision made, with no further details and MyCIC has yet to be updated from background check in progress. Apparently further instructions will be arriving by mail?

In any case, Hooray!!! :) Other applicants in July, do not fret you should be coming along shortly!!!!

Yeah, for me, MyCIC flipped to 'approved' on a Friday. The next Monday, I received an email saying that the COPR has been sent out and on the same day, we found it in our mailbox (inside Canada).

Congrats!!!!!

I remember you had to send in the FBI clearance after. I have an updated one for my husband but I"m afraid to send it to the Ottawa visa office for fear of it getting lost. How did you go about sending it and did you included a letter of explanation as to why you were sending it??

I just logged into ECAS and it says "Decision Made"! Does this mean I'm approved (I mean assuming I'm as straight forward a case as I think lol).

Thank you! And yep, that's what you would probably want to do also. Here's how it went down. I called and spoke to one of the agents and they asked that I just scan and digitally submit the FBI Clearance letter. When my application had arrived in Ottawa and if they required the original copy they would ask it. Wanting to err on the side of caution and not risk any delay, I called again to verify that my file had in fact made it to Ottawa and went about sending the letter with a cover sheet detailing my application number and UCI number shortly after paying my RPRF.

Take into account, like some here I'm sure, my wife and I never received a heck of a lot of correspondence from CIC. Perhaps 3 emails total from the time we started this process. If ever in doubt, just call and bug em :D I hope that helps. Best of luck to you, I'm sure you're right behind us.

Just received an email saying there was an "update"

Final decision now reads: Application has been approved! HOORAY. :P

Wishing all other applications a fast and fuss free journey to P.R. This forum has been amazing and I'll continue to come on every now and then to assist where I can.

One last question; what is the next step? Do they require my passport or something? Assuming i'll receive further information.

approvals approvals approvals on this thread are making me happy!!!!!

Wonderful news! Congratulations.

(wondering how you got Ottawa though - we got Sydney for processing)
