Well everyone, here is our update!
We never heard back from anyone at the Canadian or New York offices. It was a bit discouraging, because we also never received any big "Approval" email, like another person said they had.
Buuuuuuuut!
We just got my husband's Confirmation of Permanent Residence in the mail! It hasn't really hit either of us yet. Now we're just trying to get a new job lined up and he'll be on his way over for The Big Move, likely in January ;D

24-08-2016 – SA Received/Transferred to Sao Paulo ( Brazil office)
01-09-2016 – AOR2 (Never got an email, got this info on ecas “We start processing your app on 01-09-2016)
18-10-2016 – A background check is needed changed to In Progress on MyCIC
17-11-2016 – PPR
Waiting for Passport with visa.

I landed on Nov. 23

As of today, myCIC is showing our application as completed and approved!! ;D Wohoo! That means, I'll be able to officially land when I come back from my Christmas visit to home. This was so fast, wonderful

Pretty exactly 1 month, November 1st-December 2nd.

Hi everyone! Outland visa - Brazil here.
I was asked to submit my Canadian background check and pay the $490 fee. I am in Niagara. The fingerprints company is sending my results to Mississauga not Brazil Is it ok? I submitted the payment receipt via email. Is it okay?

Hello, pls help me. Igot 2 emails from manilimmigration, first one is pre arrival services (just information about getting ready before arriving Canada) and the second one I got yesterday is pre arrival as well but it says my spouse is eligible to register for pre arrival services. What does it mean? We didn't get his COPR yet, that's why we're confused. This is our timeline.

July 27: application received in Mississauga
Aug. 18: AOR1
I didn't get any SA but I received our
VO transfer/AOR2: Sept. 7 in Manila
Medical: Upfront

And still I can't link our application to mycic account.

Is it possible that CIC has reached its 2016 quota already? Or is reaching its 2016 quota already? That's why they are slowing down in giving PPR's? If so, what happens to the rest of 2016 applicants? :-X :'( Just curious..
