We have just received and email requesting a selective interview in Athens! (ROME VO)
So ROME is moving a bit!!

From what I read in this forum before, chances are not so big. But you could make a case specific inquiry and ask for it.
Did you apply as common-law or as spouses?

Spouse!
Married since the 70's.. i was a permanent resident of Canada since 1978..Gave birth to 3 wonderful daughters here, but just never got the citizenship- my biggest mistake. I kept going back and forth to Greece were my daughters were eventually for school and lost my status for not being physically present in Canada long enough over the period of 5 years..... yeap...

That's ok, i can fly there for the interview, its worth it but just wondering if there is a "cheaper" way!

We had anticipated the interview, since i used to be a PR and screwed up - so it might all seem kinda weird to them.

I wish to.. Beleive me im so stressed. My wife is canadian and she is in toronto. Im from greece and i will meet her 12/11. So i need pr asap..

My husbands PR was approved on October 14th. We still have not received any PPR or any notice of COPR being sent out or anything... Nothing acknowledging that the application has been approved.

Is this normal? I hate being left in limbo. ???

Hey Panda, I spoke with my representative yesterday, and he said that most of his recent clients thru Ottawa saw "Decision Made" and then the CoPR randomly showed up in the mail a couple of weeks later. I was lucky and got an email from Ottawa saying it had been mailed but that might not be the norm. From what I can see it looks like after DM it takes them at least a few (working days) to print it, and then it's mailed out. It might be that it's in transit to you via snail mail.

1. SPONSOR expectation during the first step:

a. AOR1 or Application package will be sent back for lack of relevant document
b. Request for missing document or updated document - based on your spousal application
c. Medical, CIC payment, required application forms and Police report check
d. SA = Sponsor Approval email or letter

2. SPONSORED APPLICANT expectation during the second step: Shocked Shocked

e. AOR2 - from Visa Office
f. missing or updated document request - based on case to case
g. eligibility and criminality check
h. Interview - based on case to case
i. passport request for visa

MY VO is Ottawa. I got my PPR on 10/12 and they received my Passport on 10/14.
Any idea how long it takes them to send me my passport back.

N/B: I sent my passport using Fedex from USA.
