***JULY 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS***

Hey everyone,

I also got an e-mail today telling me that I was approved for spousal sponsorship. Our application is off to Manila! It seems quite fast. We were expecting to wait a few more weeks. :D
 
Congrats AJW222 and erical! I just checked the SA timelines now it reads as 47 days.

I got my SA email today as well! (Application was received on July 7)
 
Hi Folks! Posting here as I didn't see an August 2016 Outland thread...but wow that was fast!

Application received August 9th, AOR1 August 11th, SA August 23rd!! Case forwarded to Ottawa for processing!!!
 
Same here, I got an email for the sponsorship approval this morning and the file is being sent to Hong Kong office. Good luck everyone! ;)

May I ask the applicant's nationality and current residence country?
Mine is forwarded to Ottawa too, but I expected it was sent to Ankara Visa Office since I'm from Iran. (Btw, I (applicant) live in Canada, but applied through outland family sponsorship class)
 
The applicant was American and the Sponsor is Canadian living in America which is probably why it was so fast but still even the American outland takes usually 2 months so I was a bit surprised! Good luck to you!

Hi,goldman_64. May I ask about your timeline? I am sponsoring my husband from Iran too. I sent my package yesterday and was delivered this morning. I wonder if our case will be forwarded to Ottawa too...

Sure, my application was received on July 7, AoR1: July 27, SA email: Aug. 23
My sponsor and I both live in Canada, maybe that's the reason it is sent to Ottawa NOT Ankara. But I believe if your husband lives in Iran, your application will be forwarded to Ankara.

Great news for all the quick SA approvals from July applicants!

I am here to happily announce we finally got AOR1 today, submitted July 29. Weirdly, the email was sent to the principal applicant and not the sponsor - but we are nevertheless happy and very relieved.

Happy days! :D
