Hi Everyone,

Our package was received 27th June and received our AOR1 15th July..... and we could access ECAS which was a relief.

Let's hope SA comes in a reasonable amount of time...the wait begins..

Good luck to all

Question...my husband left the finished package with me last time he was in the States. Can I send it to Mississauga from the States, or does it have to come from within Canada, where he lives? It's an outland application.

Of course you can send it from the States, I sent mine from Egypt since I don't live in Canada (I'm Canadian), how else would they get it???

Good Luck

About to arrange my application and send it off this afternoon.

You know that feeling of "I've forgotten something!" :o

Can't wait to get it posted though.

Outland application from Australia. Husband is my sponsor and a Canadian Citizen from birth. Good luck July gang!

That's fantastic! Where are you located in Korea? We're in Seoul and hope to move back to Canada next year. I'm curious about how fast the Manilla VO is processing files these days. Everyone in that forum posts in Tagalog so I have no idea what's going on. :)

Erical,

We, too, are in Seoul and making the move at the end of August. My partner will come in on tourist visa and hopefully we will be "flagpoling" by the new year. This may be too ambitious! We have read some blogs by other Kor/Cdn couples and some of them were granted their PR within 4 months, so we are hoping that they find our application straightforward and process it quickly. According to the CIC page, the processing time is now at 12 months.I spoke with my relative who is a civil servant and she said Trudeau has made it a priority to speed up the sponsorship apps for the family class...I just hope we haven't forgotten anything!

Your partner doesn't need a TRV. Korean nationals are visa exempt.

Your partner needs an eTA.

Just don't make it seem like your partner is moving to Canada before PR is granted when arriving.

Hi Everyone,

Our package was received 4th of July and received our AOR1 21st of July.

But my problem now is I can not access ECAS using my UCI.

But still blessed that they confirmed already my application. Wait begins! :D

Good luck to all

It will be at least a few days before your ECAS is set up and active.

Just link your file to MyCIC on July 23, it will be more detailed than ECAS anyways.

Our package was also received on july 4th, but we didn't receive any confirmation yet. I called CIC yesterday and they basically told me not to bother them until after 20th of august. Any ideas as to why we didn't receive the confirmation yet?

It usually takes 2-3 weeks to get AOR, and some people don't get AOR at all. Just a little bit of patience and you should receive confirmation, most likely within a week or so.

Thank you, it's so hard to be patient though!

One question--

I was wondering if it possible that we didn't receive the AOR yet because of my husband's address--he has a different one listed in his national identity card than the one listed on the application. The address listed in his identity card is his parents' address, he no longer lives with them and has lived in 3 other apartments since moving out.

We've been living together for more than a year, we have indicated that we live together at the address listed in the application and we included the lease contract to prove it. Would this cause a problem?

Hello did you already receive a confirmation letter or email with an UCI number?

we just received AOR1, so relieved and so excited! yaaaaay!!!

Hello! Visiting from the June and Manila threads. Looks like MVO apps average 8 to 10 months at the moment. I just submitted my application in June, but feel free to ask me if you have any questions about Manila processing times, etc.
