So roughly how many days are people seeing go by between ecas changing permanent resident status to IP and the receipt of the AOR2? Also, has anyone seen the sponsor status in ecas change to approved?

I think the sponsor status can only be shown as DM and We sent correspondence blah blah blah...regarding the decision.

I'm not sure how many people actually get a real AOR2 - some people are considering the "We started processing <applicant> on <date>" update as AOR2 as it seems that ECAS is showing this at the start of the processing rather than near the end. I think New Delhi VO has been sending AOR2. But not many others as far as I can tell on the forum. It also seems that some files are being transferred around...most people have letters stating where their file was sent to..but again, no confirmation that it actually arrived. Only real way to tell if you don't get an AOR2 letter is to order GCMS / CAIPS notes...but this should be at least a few months after SA...(although I couldn't wait)...

Soooo... my ecas has changed...under the Permanent Residence it says "We started processing ****'s application on September 17th".

So am I safe to assume my SA has been approved and the rest was sent on its way to Vienna VO and is being processed?! Have not gotten any other email, letter etc saying SA ...but they wouldn't send it and start processing in Vienna if I haven't been approved....right?!
Don't know wether to do the happy dance or still be cautious!

I think it's good news but I would call CIC to confirm. Did you check the box that said you wanted them to process your spouse's application even if you didn't receive SA? (I don't understand everything about that...they would grant a PR even if someone didn't receive SA? Maybe someone else can answer)

Hoping you get the confirmation you are looking for....

The check-box is for the Sponsor part, so if you choose not to appeal against sponsor ineligibility and SA isn't granted they don't send it to a VO. You get a refund of all fees except $75. (That's how I understood it, anyhow).

I'm guessing it's good news !!

I saw this #on 2011 post 1 613 944 4000

1-888-242-2100 CIC call centre from inside Canada

The website has been updated again, they are working on applications received July 28th.

I still haven't received my SA, so I called the call centre who said they are escalating the file. However they told me they have 90 days to respond! :O I really hope I get SA soon so I can move into the next step.. This waiting game is terrible and only pushes back further my plans :(

After reading your message, I just called the call centre and the agent told me I was approved for SA and file will be transferred to NDVO. She will also request to send the email to make it formal...My application was received on July 27. :) :) :)

Hi jcallahan! My application was received and my AOR sent on the same dates as yours! I have not received any further communication, but my status and my husband's (applying for pr) are both "in process" now. I'm sure our SA notifications will come soon.

Hi all,

I am new to this website.

May I know what is AOR and SA all about.I applied PR on April. 2015

AOR - Acknowledgment of Receipt ( usually about a month after your application is filed CIC send this to acknowledge they've received your file, either by email or letter)

SA - Sponsor Approval ( the Sponsor has been assessed and approved)

Still waiting to hear whether my hubby's got SA or not. Nothing's changed on e-CAS, his part still says "in process" and my part says " application received".

I hope we get to hear something soon because I can't face another week of checking for updates!

They're working on applications received on July 28th now so I hope this isn't a bad sign..... :'(

I'm in the same boat as you! Anxiously awaiting a decision for SA. You might want to try calling the call centre, apparently a lot of people have gotten their SA that way. I will update you if I hear something but it seems as though it's only waiting now.. I don't ubderstand, apparently my application was complete and I don't think their is anything weird about my file (I.e. Previous divorce or second time sponsoring someone)
