I'm in the same boat as you! Anxiously awaiting a decision for SA. You might want to try calling the call centre, apparently a lot of people have gotten their SA that way. I will update you if I hear something but it seems as though it's only waiting now.. I don't ubderstand, apparently my application was complete and I don't think their is anything weird about my file (I.e. Previous divorce or second time sponsoring someone)

We thought our application was straight forward and complete too. My hubby has been married before but we provided them with all the information and a copy of the divorce cert. Maybe having 3 children included in our application has slowed things down for us? not sure.

My husband tried calling them on Friday but kept getting cut off and never got to speak to an agent. I hope you have better luck!
Let me know how you get on and I'll update you if we hear anything too.

Good luck ;)

That would be great! Thank you and good luck to you as well!

I just didn't think Phase 1 would take this long to pass. I would think almost all applications are straight forward.. As long as you are a canadian citizen (or permanent resident), have no criminal history and are over the age of 18, you are eligible to be a sponsor, thus would result in sponsorship approval.

I am a canadian citizen and meet the other criteria so I do not understand why my application is taking longer.. Unless I misunderstood the process somewhere?

Just an update - my hubby rang the call centre and was given SA over the phone!

I hope you hear something soon, good luck

Try ringing the call centre again? I really hope you get an answer soon. I was starting to panic so I know how you feel. It sounds as if your app is straight forward. I was getting angry with them to be honest because we've had to do all the chasing. Keep me posted! :D

I may try to call later in the week, I've already tried 3 times, once when I was before the day posted (processing applications rec. date), second time she sent it for escalation and the third time I was told I could have to wait up to 90 days as it's in the processing centers hands.. Not sure what to do and it seems like no one else in July is in the same situation...

Poor you, that's stressful. I've read that some agents are more helpful than others. Hang in there, I'm sure it won't be long now.

Got an email a few hours ago with our SA :D

Congrats ;D ;D ;D

I got SA email today too. YAY YAY :D :D :D
Good luck everyone, we are getting there...

Wow that good news for you.. How many days you've wait?

Has anyone who applied in July had the PR portion of ecas add the day that they started processing the application yet?

Yes ours was changed to IP and notation added with date they started processing

I got my SA email yesterday with the file being transferred to Manila. WOOHOO!!! Another step closer!!!

Thanks. I had to wait almost 59 days.
The PR section in ECAS now shows the application started processing.

Same boat as you dgame, when was your application initially received? Took 63 days for SA in my case.

Application Received: Jul 27 2015
Acknowledge of Receipt (AOR): Aug 26 2015
Sponsor Approval: Sep 28 2015
...
..
.

In my SA notification, it says that the application is now being sent to CPP-Ottawa. I thought that, since she is American, they would send it abroad to New York, no? ???

Also: Is anybody else having difficulty updating their profile to show their immigration timeline? I saw a post on how to do it from 2010, but the Profile editing options mentioned in that post are no longer there. Weird. Do you need to have a certain number of posts before you can modify it?
