my SA was approved on Sept 9 and application received by VO on Sept 16 but no Ecas update the call centre agent said if i don't receive anything by Sept 23 I should call back and they will ask the Mississauga office to re-send/confirm

Hi All,

I noticed a new trend in CIC status notification. I logged in yesterday to check my ECAS and found my wife's PR application status to be "in process". I got the SA approval last week. I am surprised how it is showing already in process. Has anybody else noticed this and what exactly does this mean?

My ECAS says this too. It showed "in process" on the same day I received my Sponsor Approval email from CIC. Maybe a veteran in the main forum would know what it means.

I never received any email regarding SA. Last week Call centre Rep said its approved and sent to Singapore. Still sponsorship portion shows in process and Permanent Residence shows application received.

If you look right at the bottom of either your sponsorship or the permanent residence page there is a table that explains what your status means. There are four steps, in process is the first step. Good luck!

We had same in process status change. Then an SA letter. Today it updated to say we started processing application sept 17th.

That's not unusual. There's a variance on how eCAS is updated between applications. Your IP for PR should mean that your PR application has been received by the corresponding VO. Another line will be added in your eCAS showing specific date of when the VO started processing your application. More accurate.

My PR application says "In Process" before SA. That actually prompted us to call CIC and informed that we got SA in Aug. 25th. The SA email confirmation was just received on Sept. 10th. Still my hubby's ECAS to date is "In Process" despite email confirmation.

There's really no pattern how CIC does the ECAS updating, it really depends probably on the assessor's working on your case, me thinks.

I called the CIC this morning and the agent was kind enough to verify the status of my application. Unfortunately, my application is still in process and she said it could take up to two weeks for a result..

I really hope SA comes soon! Alright waiting 59+days

Soooo... my ecas has changed...under the Permanent Residence it says "We started processing ****'s application on September 17th".

So am I safe to assume my SA has been approved and the rest was sent on its way to Vienna VO and is being processed?! Have not gotten any other email, letter etc saying SA ...but they wouldn't send it and start processing in Vienna if I haven't been approved....right?!
Don't know wether to do the happy dance or still be cautious!

Also, please does anyone know how can I mail documents to Amman visa office?? I need to mail the police certificate and photos (they were missing from the application), and they have to be original docs so I can't just scan them, please help ???

I am on the same boat. There were no email or letter. Just got confirmation from CIC Call Centre last week that SA done and transferred to Singapore. When I logged in this morning on Ecas found that Sponsorship Application Status and Permanent Residence Application Status both are in process but no more line inside except "We received XXXX's application for permanent residence on July 8, 2015."

same boat.. both sponsor and PR are "in process".. received SA email on sept 15th and PR changed to "IP" on 17th. Haven't received AOR2 email yet
Think it's a new thing in July.. Hopefully this speeds up the final decision.
