If you mean acknowledge receipt of it who knows. I sent mine with my application back in July and its not logged on ECAS that they have received it. I emailed Ottawa just to see if that would spur anything but havent heard a thing from them.MrsHubby said:does anyone know how long it takes for CIC to process the medical results? The medicals were done Sept 27, received in drop box Sept 29, received from panel Oct 31, and sent to Ottawa Nov 2. 2 months and still no update.
This is weird they didn't list medical received? We sent medicals upfront with our application and it is listed under my sponsorship approval.brucem said:If you mean acknowledge receipt of it who knows. I agree!brucem said:I think Ottawa has ground to a halt, must be too cold to work!
Yeah it's making me slightly worried but hopefully they just haven't been bothered to update it on ECAS!TWarbus said:This is weird they didn't list medical received? We sent medicals upfront with our application and it is listed under my sponsorship approval.
Good point!Scotmoose said:I wouldn't be worried, I ordered my notes a while back and it looks like they checked my medicals at the sponsorship stage. So from what I can see, even before they approved your sponsorship they would have checked that the medicals were present and that you passed them
I sent one just over a week ago although ottawa seem notorious for not replying to anything at the moment. Might try the GCMS notes route instead.Kassine said:Our medicals were not on ecas for almost two months even though they were sent with the initial application. We emailed the VO once the file had been transferred and they didn't have record so they asked for the confirmation that was given by the doctor. Once we sent that, the "medicals have been received" note came on ecas a few days later. Might be worth emailing again to see if they have received it yet.
I received sponsor approval on October 31st 2014 and could access ECAS a day later. For the applicant all it displayed was "We received andrew-brit's application for permanent residence on September 19, 2014.". No mention of medicals. I sent an e-mail in the middle of November asking why my results do not include my medical. I attached a copy of the medical sheet. I did not hear anything for 2 weeks nor did my ECAS update.brucem said:I sent one just over a week ago although ottawa seem notorious for not replying to anything at the moment. I am not sure what that is about, but sometime after ordering my notes and waiting for the results my ECAS updated to show medicals received. That was probably down to me e-mailing them, I guess.gcms notes said:Medical was submitted however unable to associate it as wrong client shows up and I do not have authorization to change it.
I would hope that you are correct for most but for me this isn't the case - my sponsor was approved before I even did my medical.Scotmoose said:I wouldn't be worried, I ordered my notes a while back and it looks like they checked my medicals at the sponsorship stage. Are you in Canada Andrew? I forgot its slightly more tricky getting your notes if your applying outside.andrew-brit said:I received sponsor approval on October 31st 2014 and could access ECAS a day later. So I ordered my GCMS notes and received them on Boxing Day and there was one note which said:

I am in Canada. From what I gather the process is the same (applicant needs to complete a consent form and send it to the sponsor) except you apply under the privacy act rather than ATIP. If the sponsor is outside of Canada then it will cost $5, it is free otherwise under ATIP.brucem said:Are you in Canada Andrew?
