Hi everyone I just got back from visiting my wife in Thailand, So hard to return back home!!!, While I was there we sent hard copies to CEM of the documents they requested back in Sept.(I had sent email and fax before hand) We received confirmation of signed delivery by DHL. Just hope the rest of the process is smooth.

Hi

Just got off the phone from CIC agent and was told that my application would be another 43 days from the date they received my updated form and she said that would be Jan 2015 so I guess when you send an updated form it goes back to the start days. I sent all the forms July 11th and have copies and pictures to prove it. This means it will be 5 months to get just the SA I am discussed with this foolishness. She gave me a client number that I cannot use until I get SA.

I have read cases where people have got off the phone from CIC being told something very similar to you, and within an hour have their SA. I believe that is the standard answer they give people because those that answer the phone actually have quite limited information so they have to give standard answers, and it limits angry phone calls if you dont get it in a shorter timeframe. I hope for you your case is like this, maybe not 1 hour but much shorter an 43 day.

Hi all,

I and my spouse had filed our application on Sept 5, 2014. We were asked for updated IMM forms on Oct 9, which we sent October 17, 2014.

Does anybody know how much more time it might take after CIC has received the updated forms.

Please share.

Hi

Apparently the application goes back to 43 days from date of receiving the new form I speak from experience

Yes I have been asked twice to send new forms My application was sent July 11th and received 14 and each time goes to whatever the time line is so I am now looking at January for SA so I was told by CIC call centre.

What is the next step after we receive AOR2?

Be patient and wait until the application at second stage is processed. CIC will contact you for either more information to be sent in, Ask for interview, Or your PPR will be asked for and COPR issued.

AOR2 is acknowledgement of receipt by the office that will process the remainder of the application after SA (sponsorship approval) has been reached through Mississauga.

Example the VO(Visa office) that is processing the rest of our application is in Manila.

The above example by MrsHubby is a good example of what one looks like..however keep in mind not all VO's send these out.
