Guys i checked my ecas today it shows application in process i submitted the new documents on sep 16 still no sa....so wat does that mean in process....are they working on my file?????

Ok I need some guidance please i'm more than a little annoyed right now, our application was recieved on 16th July 2014, Sponsorshop Approved on 16th September and the letter stated "Accordingly, the Application for Permanent
Residence for your relative(s) has been retained for further processing at CPC Mississauga"

On-Line services shows no update after "Medical results recieved"

Now today my wife (in Quebec) went for a meeting with the immigration lawyer and gave him the CSQ paperwork as he only requested us to do it now, and he said the file is not being processed in Mississuaga, it will go to London but it won't even be sent there until Quebec approves the CSQ! We did upfront medicals and made sure to send absolutely everything to make the process as smooth as possible but now he's saying it could be another 3 months before the CSQ is approved by the provincial government in Quebec before the file is even sent to the VO in London!

Very, very frustrated, disillusioned and upset right now, has anyone gone through this with UK to Quebec applications? Because right now my wife seems to think it will be November 2015 before the whole process is finished

We are also having to do the Quebec application. The reason the lawyer did not say anything is that you need to be approved as a sponsor BEFORE you can even move forward with the Quebec portion. (the sponsor approval letter is part of the application package for Quebec). My understanding is that it should not affect the PR application. I received my AOR from the visa office (Havana) before I received the approval for CSQ, so the application was forwarded, even though the CSQ was not complete.
Also, I have seen on the forum that some UK applications are actually being handled in Canada, so maybe that is your processing Visa office?

I can't answer much about the CSQ process except I remember reading somewhere on this forum that people were getting it in much shorter than 3 months. I imagine there is a thread just for these maybe have a look.

Also I believe having Outland applications processed at CIC Miss is realitively new, perhaps you lawyer is simply not aware I the new process. However I believe the visa will be issued my the London office(they just do the very last part if the process)

I sent my CSQ on Sept.26th and we received the approval by mail on Oct.14th. It was extremely fast! They also forward a copy to the CIC so just a tiny hiccup. Good luck!

Have you tried emailing CEM? Perhaps they haven't updated the ecas yet.

does a email from cic saaying application complete mean that they have approved me as sponsor or that they are looking at sending it to Havana It is now over 3 months since I sent it in and 10 days since they recieved the new 5046 form.

Not sure. I think you still need a letter saying you have been approved. On the first question of IMM1344 did you check off to proceed with application? If so, then they send the application, regardless of whether you have been approved. It could be that they needed the complete application to begin the SA process.

Just for reference, I received an email from

CIC-Email-Communications-CPCM (CPCM-EXTCOM@cic.gc.ca) that said:

"Please find attached a letter related to your application to sponsor under the family class. Please fully read the attachment. This letter will not be re-issued. Please save this message for your records."

There was an attachment that said the following:

"This refers to the Application to Sponsor a Member of the Family Class you submitted to this office on
behalf of "sponsored person" (date of birth: XX July 2014).
You have met the Federal requirements for eligibility as a sponsor. Accordingly, the Application for
Permanent Residence for your relative(s) has been forwarded to a visa office abroad for further
processing.
Should you need to submit additional information or make any further enquiries regarding the
Application for Permanent Residence for your relative(s), you may contact the visa office by e-mail,
fax, or in writing as follows:

It was in that letter that I got my UCI. Do you have a UCI? What does it the status say on ECAS?
