Not trying to worry you, I just wanted to make sure you are fully aware of the requirements of applying through conjugal. I have seen a couple of posts recently where people have applied in situations in which they have no hope of being approved. As long as you have a solid case for why you cant get married and why you cant live together for a year there is probably little to worry about, but my understanding is that the reasons can't be that you don't want to get married, or that you dont want to give up a job to live together. Common situations are same sex marrage not being allow in your country, and you cant get visitor visas for long enough to live together.

Oh I see. Well my boyfriend works in the ship, the that goes like around the world. When he became my boyfriend, he had to leave the next day to go in the ship coz he already signed a contract in the company that he is in right now. And that is something beyond our control. I don't really know. I'm starting to feel bad now. I guess we have to start on building up some back up plans.

I am far from an expert on the matter, hopefully someone with more experience will provide input. But from what I have read on this forum it sounds like that you will probably have issues getting approved. I would definately look into the back up plan, it sounds like marriage might be the easiest option. Sorry didn't want to stress you out, would rather you be fully aware of things rather than wait a long time and have to go back to the start.

Hi!! I just got news that my husband received his sponsorship approval! ;D We didnt really expect anything until after 2 more weeks because of the processing times on the CIC website. But i guess things have been speeding up!

Thanks! We submitted ours on July 15. How about you?

Then yours will likely be coming soon!

I do have a stupid question about the spreadsheet.. What's the difference between AOR received and Sponsorship approval? Haha! Thanks in advance for enlightening me!

Congrats Dendens! Hope second phase goes quickly! :) :)

Hello! I just checked the spreadsheet and found out that we have the same application date (received by CIC). Have you got an email from them asking for the updated forms? I'm really worried that our application will be affected with those changes and might be returned. :(

kcorbin, before they sent out AORs when you submit your application. They recently stopped sending those out. Now the very first contact we receive from CIC is the SA.

When did you officially receive your SA so I can update the spreadsheet?

Thanks.

Good News this morning received my SA to sponsor my wife. Total time from received to SA was 49 days.
I updated the spreadsheet.

So happy that I wasn't required to send updated files at least for this stage.

I do have a question, I would like to pay the RPRF next week online. Do I just need to fwd the receipt to Manila by email or would I need to send a paper copy to them? I really prefer to pay the fee and not wait for them to request it.

Thanks
Chris.
