I have seen a couple of posts recently where people have applied in situations in which they have no hope of being approved. As long as you have a solid case for why you cant get married and why you cant live together for a year there is probably little to worry about, but my understanding is that the reasons can't be that you don't want to get married, or that you dont want to give up a job to live together. Common situations are same sex marrage not being allow in your country, and you cant get visitor visas for long enough to live together.

When he became my boyfriend, he had to leave the next day to go in the ship coz he already signed a contract in the company that he is in right now. And that is something beyond our control. I don't really know. I'm starting to feel bad now. I guess we have to start on building up some back up plans.
