Hi Galano1213, do you happen to have dependants? If you don't the changes in the August 2014 form doesn't even apply to you. So, frustrating!!!

The difference between the updated August 2014 form is their definition of a dependant child's age going from 22 yrs old to 19 yrs old. For those of you who were asked to resubmit the form, do you happen to have dependants? The change doesn't apply to me because I do not have dependants. I am sure they will still ask me for an updated form.

I want to send them an updated form however, how should I address it to them since I haven't received an official letter stating they have my application; meaning I don't have a file number just yet. I guess I would have to just wait until they open my file and send me an email. This is frustrating for sure.

It seems like everyone is getting asked to submit an updated form regardless if it applies to you or not. I just want to be pro-active.

We fill the application in July and sent it in July. Form got updated in August and now they are asking to fill us the form from August? This is just not right.

Hi! When did you received their email asking for the updated form? Maybe bec they received your application on Aug 1st which happens to be the effective date of the current form.

Yeah its unfair, cic must note on their website that there will be an updated form to avoid this case.

I sent my application July 10th express post they received it July 14th and Jamal signed for it I received the email August 18th from CIC along with a file #

That's not fair :'( Does it mean your waiting is back to zero?

Now I'm worried, my husband sent the application on July 29 and they received it on July 31. We don't have the email yet that they are asking for the updated form..

I starting to think it depends on which CIC agent gets it as a friend sent hers the same time as I did and she got approval she received that email today and she is in QC. Looks like luck of the draw so I will be sending the new form tommorrow with a copy of the letter they emailed as per their instructions with our file number on the express envolope Hopeing that will be it and every thing is okay from there. Have no idea how long that will delay it. We will be celebrating 1 yr of marriage Sept 26th.

Hello masam87. Do you mean the date sent was the date you initially sent the application?

Well this is frustrating. I originally filled out my forms in February but did not send it in. Then I picked up the application again in July and noticed that there were a few forms that had been updated in June. So having re-done the updated forms, I sent it in. Now I see they have updated the form again in August. Thanks for bringing this to my attention - I really hope they don't request it.

I sent mine in December and they updated forms in January

As long as you sent your app in before they updated the forms you should be ok

Does anyone have an idea if CIC still send correspondence by regular mail or is only by emails.
