Does anyone have an idea if CIC still send correspondence by regular mail or is only by emails.

If you gave them an email address all correspondence should be by email

If you did not give an email then it will be by mail

I just received SA, a little earlier than we expected as they received my application 9th July, certainly not complaining. Next step Sydney VO for us.

It seems like everyone is getting asked to submit an updated form regardless if it applies to you or not. I just want to be pro-active.

Just to calm some of the fears which seem to be getting people worried at the moment, I KNOW that one of the forms I submitted was out of date. I cant remember which one it was but I know it was one of the barcode forms, I had meant to check before I headed to UPS, but forgot and checked as soon as I got home. Sure enough one had been updated since I had filled it in. But anyway my point is that I received SA today with no issues, no requests for additional information and no new forms required. Before anyone resubmits forms with the thought that CIC just want the updated form, I would recommend that you double check that the original copy was filled in perfectly.

I know no situation is exactly the same and there is the potential for some officers to make unreasonable requests I very much doubt this would ever be the norm. Just relax, everything with happen in its good time!!

Sounds like your application arrived there a couple of days after ours, so hopefully we'll hear soon too. Did you receive an AOR out of interest? I've only heard of one other July outland that did.

Those Sydney applications seem to go faster than most! Good luck

Forgot to ask, do both parties get an email upon SA or just the sponsor? Would save me anxiously checked my inbox everyday

Do you mind me asking if on the SA email you've received if they've written for your correspondence to be Sydney VO or Mississauga VO? A few of us in the June outland were sent to Missaussaga VO.

No official AOR but I tried logging on to ECAS with my UCI from previous work permit on Monday and it worked. It was the first time I had tried so not sure how long it had been working for.

Its Sydney, I had hoped for Mississauga, it sounds like it is a new fast tracked process and Sydney seems to have come to a stand still....... I have 6 months until my work permit runs out, hopefully something will happen by then.

Felt quite relieved knowing there are applicants who got their SA's already even though they have included an out dated form. Keeping my fingers crossed that we'll receive our SA soon and with no issues. Congrats on your SA!

Guys, how do you know if they sent our files back home or not? I check my status and all it says is Application recieved
