Great news indeed! Hoping for a speedy stage 2. A column for AOR 2 has been added to the spreadsheet.

Hi. Our VO sent an email to my boyfriend. Regarding our Conjugal Application. This is what on it;

This is with respect to your application for a permanent resident visa as a member of the family class, the class in which you applied.

A preliminary review of your file, based on the information and documentation you have submitted to date, raises concerns that you may not meet the requirements for immigration to Canada.
Subsection 12(1) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act states that a foreign national may be selected as a member of the family class on the basis of their relationship as the spouse, common-law partner, child, parent or other prescribed family member of a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.

Pursuant to section 2 of the regulations, a conjugal partner means, in relation to a sponsor, a foreign national residing outside Canada who is in a conjugal relationship with the sponsor and has been in that relationship for a period of at least one year.

I am not satisfied that you meet the requirements of the conjugal partner immigration category. There may be a semblance of a relationship between you and your sponsor; however there is insufficient documentary evidence on file to show that you and your sponsor have combined your affairs. The emotional, financial, and social ties are not present to the extent that I can conclude that this is a committed relationship.

Before a final decision is made on your application, I would like to offer you the opportunity to submit information or documents to address the above concerns.
Any evidence or submission which you or your sponsor may wish to provide may be sent to this office within forty-five (45) days from the date of this letter. If we have not received a response within that time, your application will be assessed based on the information available on file, which may result in a refusal.

Guys I need suggestions. What else can I send them? Regarding that emotional, financial and social ties that they are asking for. Thanks you so much!

I don't know your situation but UNLESS it is absolutely IMPOSSIBLE for you to get married or be common-law, then you will be denied for conjugal category regardless of what you send them. Conjugal is only for couples who absolutely cannot get married or live together to be considered common-law. For example, in countries where divorce is not allowed and you have been married before so legally can't remarry or for same sex couples where same sex marriage is banned. If it is even remotely possible that you and your significant other could travel to live together or get married and have chosen not to then you will be denied. Conjugal is for rare difficult situations for those who CAN'T get married or visit each other to live in the same residence.

Thanks for the response. I get what you mean. I'm just wondering, if that is the case how come that isn't what they are asking for? How come they just want us to send more evidence showing our emotional financial and social ties. Cause if that is they're concern they should've said that on the letter. Just want some suggestions on what else I can send them. Thanks you guys!

I'm not sure why they sent a letter like that. They are supposed to give you a chance to prove them wrong but unless your case is a rare exception to why you didn't marry or live together, this is likely their I've of giving you a chance to prove you belong in that category before a rejection. I would send proof of ongoing relationship like phone calls etc but most important will be saying shy it was not possible to marry or live with your partner or else they can't approve. Good luck.

Hi all
I have a question. My husband has done his medicals before we applied. We've got our SA on Sept. 12. When i log into ECAS it doesnt say that they got his medicals yet. At which point does it show? Our application has been sent to Paris for further processing.
Thanks in advance

I called CiC They said they did not receive my photos (35 mm x 45 mm) I send 16 days ago. only after receiving the photos that go start my process >:(

Your previous posts suggest that you have received no correspondence from CIC just a few days ago, did you receive a request for photos from them. Because if not why are you sending them? They may be having trouble matching photos to your original application without a file number.
