Hi guys can you please tell me how to apply for gcms? And how to do upfront rprf? So anxious about my application i have not heard anything yet since our medical in april... ::)

here you go budd:

You should have applied under Privacy Act and since you are in Canada you needn't pay anything as well.

Check the below Steps for requesting GCMS notes ( Point 10 in your case ) :-

Find below some useful info.

1. Visit https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/welcome.do?lang=en
2. Scroll down and check the box "I have read, understood and agree with the above Privacy Notice." and Submit.
3. Select CIC from the drop down. (first field)
4. Select Individual/Corportation present in Canada (Second drop down)
5. Fill in your details (Self explanatory)
6. Select Member of public for "Select the category that best describes you"
7. select "E-mail" for "How would you prefer to receive the requested records" ( choose the mode you are comfortable with)
8. Continue to next page.
9. You dont need to attach any additional documents, unless you want to prove something.
10. Select Privacy Act in next page
11. Submit the final request. Once you submitted the request, wait for one month.

please hit +1 if I answered your question

Hello Folks,

I got my COPR and passport stamped.I am in India and looking for job opportunities in Canada.I had Province of Destination and City of Destination listed in COPR, Does it mean that I need to look for opportunities in the same Province ? or I had to make port of entry in the same province ?

Looking forward to hear from you.

Thanks in Advance.

Thanks,

You can live and work anywhere in Canada (except Quebec). Move to the place where there are better opportunities for your field. Good luck and congrats for your COPR!

Hi guys I am July 24th applicant and still waiting for MR.

I think I am under 2nd review. you think so too?

If so, my MR will be delayed until December?

Normally I think, if someone does not receive MR before the date when others who applied similar date received, the person probably cannot receive MR for 3-4 more months.

Do you agree?

Got US PCC request this morning. I'm surprised they didn't ask for the Indian one as the one i sent with the application was old.

My application reached CIC on July 9th.

hi, how old is your Indian PCC and is it expires 12 months?

Just wanted to check as my PCC has expired as well.

Hello Folks

We did our landing yesterday at Rainbow Bridge, Niagara falls.
Border was pretty busy. The whole process took around 1hr.

It was so smooth.
The best moment of this process was when the CBSA officer said: Now you are Canadian Permanent Resident.

I wish everyone would hear this soon. :)

This forum was a great help.

Hello..
I just need some advice here..
When I check the application status through CIC website, here is what given to me:

We received your application for permanent residence on July 31, 2014.
We started processing your application on October 7, 2014.
Medical results have been received.

Until there has been no news whatsoever from CIC.
What do you think I should do?
I haven't applied for GCMS and haven't paid the fee upfront yet.
My friend who applied a month before me already waiting for the PR card as he already did the landing.
But it's been almost 2 months after he received the Request for Passport and I haven't yet got the Request for Passport task from CIC.

Please advice.
Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I also applied in July & it just says medical received, no update after that. So far what I figured out is they are processing July files, so we should get an answer by this month.
When is your work permit getting expired ?
