Hey everyone just a little update that results in a question. I called CIC today to confirm that everything is in order. My application was received on July 18th. At the time of my application I sent a PCC from USA and Korea, however they were one month past the 3 month eligibility mark. So knowing that I needed to get new one's and to prevent delays I ordered new PCC's from the USA and Korea. Korea is a difficult country to get a PCC from because you have to either have a friend or family member there that you can sign over POA to. Luckily at the time I had a friend living there. I received my PCC in October and immediately sent it to CIC later in December I received my USA PCC and sent it as well. Both times I sent it certified mail and once it was received and signed for I sent CIC an e-mail asking for confirmation. With my Korean PCC I sent an in-depth explanation to them, notifying them of the difficulties in obtaining a PCC from Korea and how I would not be able to obtain an additional one in the future. I never received a response e-mail regarding my inquiry or confirmation that these documents were received other than the signature on the mail. Fast forward to today. I called to inquire about my application because I should be receiving MR Request any day now. When I was on the phone I asked if all my PCC's were received and noted in my file. The agent informed me that the PCC from the USA was received in Dec. and updated to my file. I then asked about the PCC from Korea and he told me there was no record of it on my file. Which is very strange because I sent one with my original application and then an updated one in October. I explained to him how I have the tracking numbers and signatures that it was received and how I sent an in-depth letter explaining how I could not obtain another PCC from Korea, without flying all the way there. Basically, he told me I just had to wait and they would contact me if they needed additional information.
I find this really strange that they would have my PCC from the USA but not from Korea, especially since I even sent one with my original application. Has anyone else had the same experience?? Do you think this is going to cause delays?? Also the fact that I cannot get another one make me worried.
