The first half of this is correct, however the initial entry date on your COPR should be the date you initially came to Canada. For me, the date was incorrect, however the agent changed it during the landing process (she crossed out the old date and wrote in the date that I first entered Canada...

Just received my COPR in the mail and plan to do the landing at the Peace Arch border crossing tonight!!!! Thank you to everyone here for the information throughout this process. :)

My ECAS status changed to Decision Made as of this morning! Now I am just waiting for the COPR. :)

Just now received the RPRF request and paid it!

I won't be getting a PPR as I am from a Visa-exempt country. I suspect next will be the RPRF email.

Checked today and now have the third line in ECAS: "We started processing your application on May 27, 2015."

You are parsing words trying to shoehorn a very clear statement into what you think it should mean. If the processing time was calculated from the time of the AOR, why would the application received date in ECAS be the date that an application was actually received, rather than the AOR date?

A bus is a commercial carrier. You would be required to have a travel document. You can travel across in your own vehicle or by foot with a COPR only but if you travel by air, sea, or land in a commercial vehicle you will have to show either a PR card or a travel document.

Nope - a Travel Document is a specific document that you have to apply for from outside Canada. Sometimes on some carriers passengers from Visa-exempt countries aren't asked for their PR card, but it is always a risk.
