Seems like cecpet also never got official MR request. You can do it upfront though.

Really frustrating to see almost no movement at all... and there are so many cases spread across June onwards that leads me to believe CEC may not be a priority right now... or maybe they are short on staff (qualified that is!) after putting all their energies on EE.

The article below brings forth an interesting side on the staff part at CIC... agreed the so-called students turned CIC officers may not be taking the final decision but they very well may be responding to all these queries/calls.. so hearing things like 'processing time moving up to 20 months', or even 'call us back by mid-Dec if not finalized' does not hold any ground coz just like someone said.. it's just to fend off further questions.

Anyhow, waiting is what we need to do and waiting patiently is what we will do (except people who have other options)... hopefully we'll get it through soon.

Guys good news.. Got passport request an hour back.. Emailed back to change visa stamping office for my spouse.. Will be sending my passport to Ottawa tomorrow

Hey Finally! After 15 months wait finally received passport request today at 9 PM. My timelines are below

Application filed : July 14,2014
AOR received : Sep 14,2014
Upfront Medicals : 9, Apr 2015
Medical request : 20, Aug 2015
RPRF request : 25 Aug 2015
Passport Request : 28, Oct 2015

I emailed to CIC requesting to change passport office for my wife and kid to New Delhi, will wait for their response. Thanks to this group for keeping hopes alive all the time

did your wife and kid apply from within canada and then leave? cuz im planning on leaving canada too but i wasnt sure how it would be processed..like if i leave would they accept my passport from my home country? please advise. thanks

Guys, I just called CIC & the agent was polite. She said your file has passed average processing time & there has been no movement since Mar 2015 so she is sending a message to Ottawa office to process on this.

If anyone's case is similar to mine they should call CIC so that they can send a message to Ottawa for fast processing !!
